Systems Engineer

Overview

We are seeking a Systems Engineer to support the evaluation, improvement, and implementation of internal knowledge management practices for a Sponsor organization. The selected candidate will assess existing workflows and processes, recommend best practices, and support the implementation of process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.

What will you do?

• Evaluate the Sponsor's internal knowledge management practices and recommend best practices for improvement.
• Facilitate the implementation of improved knowledge management processes and monitor their effectiveness over time.
• Maintain and update system user documentation, training materials, and reference guides.
• Develop and maintain business process maps using Business Process Modeling Notation (BPMN).
• Identify opportunities for business process improvements and operational efficiencies across manual and automated workflows.
• Present process improvement recommendations to the Sponsor Program Manager.
• Develop metrics-driven process improvements that are validated by operational users.
• Support workflow application development by creating technical requirements and user stories.
• Perform business process analysis to identify opportunities for integration, automation, and improved efficiency.
• Conduct new employee onboarding briefings related to system usage and knowledge management practices.
• Provide system training and user guidance to Sponsor personnel.
• Support case file management and documentation processes across the organization.
• Develop and present data-driven insights and visualizations to support decision-making.

Do you have what it takes?

• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph required.
• Bachelor's degree in Geospatial Intelligence, Geography, Remote Sensing, Intelligence Studies, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience
• • Demonstrated experience using Microsoft Excel and Tableau to perform data analysis, including developing formulas and leveraging basic scripting or coding to enhance analysis capabilities.
  • Experience developing data visualizations and infographics in Excel and Tableau that follow graphic design best practices.
  • Experience creating technical requirements and user stories to support workflow application development.
  • Experience developing and delivering training materials, briefings, and reference documentation for onboarding and user engagement.
  • Experience conducting small-scale business process analysis to identify opportunities for integration and efficiency improvements.
  • Experience designing and implementing metrics-based process improvements informed by workforce feedback and operational needs.
