Primary Function
The Senior Field Engineer provides high-level technical leadership and operational oversight at Fort Huachuca, AZ in support of the U.S. Army's Threat Systems Management Office (TSMO) within a Multi-Domain Operations (MDO) test bed environment.
This position serves as the on-site Technical Lead of a team of Field Technicians and ensures the successful execution of test and evaluation missions. The Senior Field Engineer bridges complex engineering requirements with tactical field execution while ensuring TSMO's interests are represented and maintained within the MDO infrastructure. The position directs installation, maintenance, and real-time troubleshooting of sophisticated threat systems and instrumentation while assisting in the management of daily operations and ensuring alignment with TSMO's strategic objectives and safety standards.
The Senior Field Engineer maintains high system availability and data integrity during live and simulated exercises to ensure the MDO test bed remains a viable environment for evaluating next-generation Army capabilities.

Essential Duties
- Demonstrated experience in the initial stand-up, development, or long-term execution of a Multi-Domain Operations (MDO) test bed
- Proficiency in operating Group 1 UAS (e.g., T-Storm) within both restricted and unrestricted airspace
- Coordinate activities leading to the successful setup, teardown, and operation of threat-representative systems on DoD test ranges
- Perform maintenance, repairs, and real-time troubleshooting on various technical equipment with minimal supervision
- Operate motorized vehicles and tow specialized equipment across rugged DoD test range terrain; perform basic maintenance and upkeep on motorized vehicles and mechanical items as needed
- Collaborate in the planning and coordination of manpower and mission resources with Government leadership; lead the scheduling, daily tasking, and assignments for the contractor Field Technician team
- Prepare and provide a monthly status report documenting significant activities and accomplishments

- Coordinates directly with Government leadership on mission execution and resource alignment
Desired Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering or Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution
- Minimum 15 years direct experience in technical operations and/or field operations
- Extensive experience within the Army's testing community (ATEC, EPG, TSMO)
- Background combining engineering fundamentals with mechanical aptitude to maintain field equipment
- Proven experience as a Site Lead or Engineering Manager with a history of building and maintaining professional relationships with senior leaders
- Self-starter comfortable in a fast-paced environment with ability to execute multiple high-priority tasks simultaneously
- Ability to travel up to 30%
- Must possess and maintain a Top Secret security clearance with TS/SCI
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in field operations and maintenance.
- Experience setting up and tearing down systems on a DoD test range.
- Working knowledge of troubleshooting utilizing tools such as oscilloscope and multimeter.
- Basic understanding of RF emissions and collection.
- Possess an Active DoD SECRET security clearance.
- Have, or obtain within one year of start date a Part 107 remote pilot certification.
- Must fluently speak, read, understand, and write the English language
- Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment physical and drug test.

- Familiarity with cost estimating and ability to provide Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) estimates
- Experience coordinating directly with Original Equipment Manufacturers for technical support and replacement parts
- Experience creating formal Standard Operating Procedures
