4373 Project Manager

OVERVIEW:

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to support a federal software development program. The Project Manager will oversee projects focused on the development and enhancement of case agent applications supporting mission operations. The ideal candidate has strong experience managing federal Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) projects, coordinating cross-functional technical teams, and ensuring delivery of secure, high-quality solutions in a government environment.

GENERAL DUTIES:

• Manage the full lifecycle of federal software development projects, including planning, execution, monitoring, and delivery.
• Coordinate Agile or hybrid SDLC activities for development of case agent applications and supporting systems.
• Lead project planning activities including scope definition, schedules, milestones, deliverables, and risk management.
• Serve as the primary point of contact between technical teams, stakeholders, and program leadership.
• Track project performance and report status, risks, and issues to government stakeholders.
• Ensure adherence to federal security, compliance, and SDLC standards.
• Facilitate collaboration across developers, architects, QA teams, and product stakeholders.
• Manage project documentation, schedules, and deliverables using standard federal project management practices.
• Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies to ensure successful project delivery.
• Support continuous improvement of project management and development processes.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• 5+ years of project management experience supporting federal government software development projects.
• Demonstrated experience managing projects within the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Experience managing cross-functional teams including developers, testers, and technical leads.
• Strong experience with project planning, scheduling, and stakeholder communication.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver projects on schedule.
• Must be local to the Crystal City / Northern Virginia / Washington DC metro area and available for 2-4 days per month onsite work.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience supporting Department of Homeland Security (DHS) programs.
• Experience with Agile or hybrid Agile project delivery frameworks.
• PMP (Project Management Professional) certification or equivalent.
• Experience managing case management or investigative support systems.
• Familiarity with federal cybersecurity and compliance frameworks.

• U.S. Citizenship required with the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust
