4372 Scrum Master

OVERVIEW:

We are seeking an experienced Scrum Master to support an Agile development team to deliver solutions. The Scrum Master will facilitate Agile ceremonies, remove impediments, and help ensure teams operate efficiently while delivering high-quality software and program outcomes. The ideal candidate has strong experience coaching Agile teams, improving Agile maturity, and working in federal or regulated environments.

GENERAL DUTIES:

• Serve as Scrum Master for one or more Agile development teams delivering software and technology solutions.
• Facilitate all Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and backlog refinement.
• Coach teams on Agile and Scrum best practices to improve team performance, delivery predictability, and collaboration.
• Work closely with Product Owners, technical leads, and stakeholders to ensure the product backlog is well-defined and prioritized.
• Identify and remove impediments that impact team progress and delivery timelines.
• Track and report on team metrics including velocity, sprint progress, and release readiness.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement and transparency across the team.
• Support Agile planning and coordination across multiple teams when necessary.
• Assist leadership in Agile transformation efforts and scaling Agile practices where applicable.
• Ensure alignment with federal program requirements, compliance standards, and security policies.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• 5-10 years of experience as a Scrum Master or performing similar Agile facilitation responsibilities.
• Demonstrated experience leading Agile/Scrum teams in software development environments.
• Strong knowledge of Agile frameworks, Scrum principles, and Agile delivery practices.
• Experience facilitating Agile ceremonies and coaching teams on Agile best practices.
• Strong communication, facilitation, and conflict resolution skills.
• Ability to work effectively with technical teams, product owners, and program stakeholders.
• Experience using Agile tools such as Jira, Confluence, or similar platforms.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), PMI-ACP, SAFe Scrum Master, or equivalent Agile certification.
• Experience supporting federal government programs, preferably DHS or other civilian agencies.
• Experience working in scaled Agile environments (SAFe, LeSS, or similar).
• Familiarity with DevOps and modern software delivery practices.

• U.S. Citizenship required with the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust
