MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented AI Architect to join our team onsite in Northern VA.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Lead the architecture and design of AI, automation, and data analytics solutions that align with Department of Defense business objectives and technical requirements.
- Design and oversee the implementation of scalable, secure, and high-performance AI/ML architectures within a classified environment
- Evaluate emerging AI trends, tools, and algorithms to recommend adoption strategies that enhance mission capabilities
- Ensure all AI architectures comply with DoD/IC security standards, data governance policies, and ethical AI guidelines
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and data scientists
- Translate intricate technical architectures into actionable insights for clients, fostering transparency and building consensus across the AI project team.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Data Science, or a related field and a minimum of 8 years of relevant technical experience.
- Strong background in full-stack AI system creation and cloud-native architectures (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- At least 3 years of experience specifically in AI/ML architecture or engineering.
- Expertise in Python and proficiency with ML frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow, Keras).
- Proven experience designing microservices architectures and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) for AI applications.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related field
- Experience with cloud-native AI services (AWS SageMaker, Azure AI, or Google Vertex AI)
- Experience with Large Language Models (LLMs), RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) architectures, or Computer Vision in ISR contexts
- Experience implementing AI solutions within Cross-Domain Solutions (CDS) or air-gapped environments
- Experience with Generative AI API integration, specifically embedding explainability layers and confidence scoring into user interfaces. Experience developing staffing plans or work breakdown structures (WBS) to support solution planning.
Clearance Requirements:
- Must possess a current and active TS with SCI Eligibility
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
- Must be able to communicate, converse, and exchange information with peers and senior personnel.
- Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a computer.
