The System Administrator will support critical IT operations, ensuring stability, security, and performance across Windows and Linux environments. This role provides advanced technical support, manages server infrastructure, and ensures compliance with all security and configuration requirements. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong troubleshooting skills, experience with patching and backups, and the ability to support Tier II/III escalations while maintaining exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities
- Manage Windows/Linux servers.
- Administer Active Directory, GPOs.
- Perform patching and backups.
- Support virtualization and Tier II/III issues.
- Troubleshoot desktop, laptop, and server hardware problems. If no repair part is on hand, find the part number using the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) parts system and provide the link and ordering information to the COR. Replace the part when it arrives. Repair or replace failed computers with a spare within three (3) duty days.
- Set up and configure OS and base applications for server hardware to support NEC customers.
- Perform updates monthly as a result of security fixes from Microsoft and other third-party vendors.
- Install software patches and updates, and perform system backups.
- Complete quarterly STIGs for SIPR enabled servers and related devices.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Clearance Required: Secret.
- Associate's/Bachelor's in IT.
- 3+ years of system administration experience.
- Security+ CE certification required.
- Microsoft/Linux certifications preferred.
