Job Description
The Lockwood Group supports a C5ISR hardware and software program for a U.S. Army customer located at Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG), MD. This effort provides product technical support services for systems and equipment produced, fielded, modified, or sustained under PdM Network Modernization (NetMod) and PdM Mission Network within the Project Manager Tactical Network (PM TN), Program Executive Office C3T (PEO C3T).
The program ensures tactical network systems remain secure, compliant, and operationally resilient in support of Army modernization and mission readiness.
Position Overview
Technical Writer will develop and maintain documentation, including user manuals, technical guides, and policy documents, to support the PdM NetMod program.
Key Responsibilities
Develop technical manuals, reports, and system documentation.
Translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise materials.
Ensure compliance with DoD documentation and security policies.
Collaborate with engineers and analysts to gather accurate technical information.
Manage document version control and updates.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in English, Technical Writing, or related field.
10+ years experience in technical documentation, 5+ within DoD environments.
Experience using tools like CECOM Web Compose to develop, validate, and publish technical manuals in XML format to comply with military standards e.g. MIL-STD-40051-2B.
Active DoD Secret clearance
U.S. Citizenship required
