Job Description

The successful candidate will work closely with a team of Applications Developers, project managers, and stakeholders to support the Office of Science Mission to provide standardized application development with a variety of platforms and applications. The Business Analyst role will ensure applications meet stakeholder requirements, operational needs, align with governance policies, and adhere to Agile and lifecycle management practices. The QA Tester role will be responsible for designing, writing, and implementing test plans and work with the development team to identify and fix bugs.

• Works with teams of stakeholders and developers to gather and clearly document business requirements to support applications and solutions with Power Platform tools and
• SharePoint Online, as well as other technologies and platforms.
• Participates in Agile ceremonies as the Scrum Master (Sprint Planning, Daily Scrums, Sprint Reviews, Retrospectives, Backlog Refinement).
• Gathers, analyzes, and documents customer requirements for new and existing applications.
• Converts stakeholder needs, roadmap, and large project requirements into user stories.
• Creates and maintains dashboards and reports.
• Develops and maintains artifacts such as requirements documents, process flows, diagrams, user acceptance testing plans, and customer guides.
• Supports backlog management by prioritizing requirements and ensuring clarity of acceptance criteria.
• Applies project management best practices to support timely delivery of secure, functional applications.
• Collaborates with developers to develop test strategies and documentation.
• Executes test cases, analyzes results, and works with developers to remediate bugs.
• Works with teams to ensure quality throughout the application development lifecycle.

Minimum Qualifications

• US Citizen with 4 years+ BA and QA Tester experience
• Bachelor's Degree in Business, or a related field or equivalent relevant experience.

• Impeccable communication skills are a must - written and verbal.
• Must be adept at working independently and collaborating with IT customers in an on-site team and virtual environment.
• Proven experience as a Business Analyst and Scrum Master.
• Ability to test, document and troubleshoot bugs with a team of developers.
• In-depth familiarization with and understanding of Microsoft 365 and Power Platform development and SharePoint Online.
• In-depth familiarization with Jira and Jira Administration.
• Experience testing and mapping various business processes and protocols.
• M365 Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI, Dataverse, SharePoint Online.
• Experience with Jira, ServiceNow, Confluence.
• Project leadership roles and mentoring

Job Requirements:

• Prepare project status reports and project presentations
• Ensure compliance with project requirements
• Conducting project risk management processes
• Develop and maintain project reports
• Communicate relevant project information to the project team and external parties
• Support the project team in developing and maintaining project scope of work documents, and project plans
• Defining user's business/system requirements
• Develop project plans with system specifications based on defined requirements
• Act as requirements project lead for medium to large projects, directing and coordinating requirements project staff and activities
• Support the project team in project team meetings and follows up with meeting notes
• Provide direction to the project team in order to ensure alignment with business and project objectives
• Managing the project team by using planning and activities requirements to estimate and acquire project resources
• Work underneath the project coordinator
• Assign resources to meet project objectives for the projects being managed
• Apply standard project management methodologies for system related projects
• Pending implementation data changes in Jira and progress to implementation
• Participate in project meetings along with EPM
• Assisting in the management of projects
• Develop the project plan, including definition and assignment of project tasks to team members
