FWI is building a team to provide digital communications, design, and web support services to the National Science Foundation's (NSF) Office of Legislative and Public Affairs (OLPA). As the Digital Services Project Manager, you will lead the delivery of digital initiatives that translate complex scientific and policy information into clear, accessible, and engaging content across digital, print, and multimedia platforms. This role requires close collaboration with NSF staff, researchers, and stakeholders in a fast-paced federal communications environment.

Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of graphic design, scientific illustration, animation, web development, photography, and multimedia projects for NSF
- Manage web publishing and content operations within CMS platforms (Drupal, ServiceNow, SharePoint), ensuring accessibility, search optimization, and alignment with the U.S. Web Design System
- Oversee NSF's digital asset and multimedia library, including metadata management, usage rights, copyright and licensing, and fulfillment of internal/external requests
- Coordinate with researchers, scientists, and subject-matter experts to ensure scientific accuracy across all digital products
- Ensure all deliverables comply with NSF branding standards, federal plain-language guidelines, and Section 508/WCAG accessibility requirements
- Manage a ticketing system for web support requests and provide technical and artistic guidance to team members and NSF staff
- Coordinate surge support for specialized projects, including immersive VR experiences and interactive touchscreen applications
- Prepare and submit biweekly, monthly, and ad hoc status reports including project progress and expenditure data
Qualifications
Required:
- Demonstrated experience managing digital projects encompassing web, design, multimedia, and content workflows
- Strong understanding of Section 508/WCAG accessibility and federal plain-language requirements
- Experience managing copyright, licensing, and usage rights for digital media
- Experience coordinating with researchers or subject-matter experts to ensure content accuracy
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and rapid-turnaround requests
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance
Desired:
- Experience with Drupal, ServiceNow, SharePoint, Acquia DAM, or Brightcove
- Experience supporting federal agency communications or public affairs offices
- Familiarity with SEO/content optimization and the U.S. Web Design System
- PMP or equivalent project management certification
