Description

Leidos has an opening for a Product Manager supporting Google Cloud Platform (GCP) capabilities within the U.S. Air Force Cloud One Architecture & Common Shared Services (ACSS) program. Under Cloud One ACSS, the Leidos team delivers enterprise cloud architecture, foundational shared services, secure platform engineering, and standardized capabilities that enable mission systems across the Department of the Air Force.

The GCP Product Manager will define and manage the product lifecycle for enterprise GCP architecture and common shared services supporting DoD Impact Levels (IL2–IL6). This role ensures GCP environments are secure, scalable, interoperable, and compliant with DoD cloud strategy, Zero Trust architecture, and enterprise governance mandates.

You will collaborate with Cloud Architects, cybersecurity engineers, DevSecOps engineers, other service providers, and Air Force stakeholders to deliver standardized GCP capabilities that accelerate mission onboarding while maintaining compliance, performance, and cost efficiency.

Ideal candidates will have the ability to travel to the Tewksbury, MA area as needed.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Enterprise Product Strategy & Architecture Alignment
  • Define and maintain the product vision and roadmap for GCP enterprise architecture and shared services within Cloud One ACSS.
  • Align GCP capabilities with Department of the Air Force Cloud Strategy and DoD Enterprise Cloud initiatives.
  • Establish standardized architectural patterns for multi-project and multi-organization GCP environments.
  • Ensure interoperability and functional requirements parity across CSP products, and hybrid cloud environments.
  • Common Shared Services Enablement
  • Support lifecycle management of foundational GCP shared services including:
  • Cloud Identity and Access Management (IAM).
  • Organization policy and resource hierarchy governance.
  • Centralized logging and monitoring (Cloud Logging, Cloud Monitoring).
  • Encryption and key management (Cloud KMS).
  • Container platforms (GKE, Anthos).
  • Networking architectures (VPC, Shared VPC, Cloud Interconnect).
  • Develop reusable GCP reference architectures and onboarding templates.
  • Standardize service catalogs and enable mission teams to rapidly deploy compliant environments.


Cloud Security, Governance & Compliance:
  • Ensure GCP services comply with RMF, FedRAMP High, DoD SRG, and DISA STIG requirements.
  • Support architecture compliance across IL2–IL6 environments.
  • Integrate GCP-native security services such as:
  • Security Command Center.
  • Cloud Armor.
  • VPC Service Controls.
  • Binary Authorization.
  • Partner with cybersecurity teams to support ATO attainment and continuous monitoring.


DevSecOps & Platform Integration:
  • Collaborate with platform engineering teams to implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and Deployment Manager.
  • Support hardened landing zones and automated project provisioning.
  • Enable containerized and hybrid workloads leveraging GKE and Anthos.
  • Promote automated testing, security scanning, and CI/CD integration within GCP environments.


FinOps & Cost Governance:
  • Develop cost governance and allocation strategies across GCP organizations.
  • Implement tagging and labeling strategies to ensure transparency and accountability.
  • Optimize resource utilization leveraging GCP cost management tools.
  • Balance mission performance requirements with fiscal responsibility.
  • Stakeholder Engagement & Governance:
  • Serve as primary liaison between government leadership, architecture teams, and engineering stakeholders for GCP capabilities.
  • Translate enterprise mission requirements into prioritized product backlogs.
  • Conduct executive briefings on roadmap progress, risks, cost posture, and compliance status.
  • Participate in architecture review boards and Integrated Product Teams (IPTs).


Documentation & Enterprise Communication
Support and maintain:
  • GCP reference architectures.
  • Standard operating procedures.
  • Service onboarding guides.
  • Compliance documentation.
  • Ensure transparency across roadmap maturity, risk posture, and service adoption metrics.
  • Align documentation with Google Cloud Architecture Framework and DoD Enterprise DevSecOps Reference Design.


Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of experience in cloud architecture or enterprise IT, or a Master's and 6+ years of applicable experience.
  • 3+ years of product management experience
  • Active DoD Secret clearance required; Top Secret preferred.
  • DoD 8570.01 IAT Level II certification required prior to onboarding.
  • 3+ years of hands-on GCP experience in enterprise or DoD environments.
  • Experience managing enterprise cloud platforms or shared services.


Understanding of:
  • GCP resource hierarchy and organization policies.
  • VPC and Shared VPC architecture.
  • IAM roles and federated identity.
  • GKE container orchestration.
  • Cloud KMS and encryption services.
  • Experience supporting RMF and IL4/IL5 ATO processes.
  • Experience working within Agile and DevSecOps environments.
  • Strong executive-level communication skills.


Required Certifications:
  • Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect.
  • Google Cloud Professional Cloud Security Engineer.
  • Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or equivalent Product Owner certification.
  • SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager (POPM) or Agile certification.


Preferred Certifications:
  • Google Cloud Professional DevOps Engineer.
  • Google Cloud Professional Network Engineer.
  • Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer.
  • ITIL v4.
  • PMP Certification.


Preferred Experience:
  • Experience supporting Cloud One, Platform One, or DoD Enterprise Cloud programs.
  • Experience implementing Anthos in hybrid or multi-cloud environments.
  • Familiarity with Zero Trust architectures within GCP.
  • Experience supporting classified or cross-domain cloud architectures.
  • Experience establishing enterprise observability and SLO frameworks within GCP.
  • Desired Attributes:
