ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Dismantle and overhaul and repair generators and auxiliary equipment, such as pumps, compressors, and pipe systems.
- Assist in conducting acceptance and performance tests on new or existing equipment.
- Fabricate special tools, rigging equipment, and replacement parts for equipment.
- May install wiring between machinery, switchboards, and control panels.
- Perform electrical power control and distribution functions.
- Perform inspections.
- Interpret inspection findings and determine corrective action.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 3 years of related experience and advanced certification in assigned area required.
- CAT or Cummings Technician Certification required
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
- Extensive knowledge in specialized functions.
- A wide and comprehensive acquaintance with, and understanding of, both general and specific aspects of the job and their practical application to complex problems and situations ordinarily encountered.
