Peraton seeks a Cybersecurity Architect (Lead) to support Department of Defense Cyber Defense Command (DCDC) with DCO AI Cyber Security Support.
Location: Fort Meade, MD.
In this role, you will serve as the lead for the team's Analytic Support Officers, responsible for cybersecurity readiness assessments, Zero Trust architecture, and ensuring compliance with security standards.

Target Salary Range: $146,000 - $234,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.

About The Role

- Lead team of 6 cybersecurity professionals
- Design and implement Zero Trust (ZT) architecture
- Conduct cybersecurity readiness assessments
- Oversee RMF compliance and accreditation
- Direct threat intelligence integration
- Manage vulnerability assessments and remediation
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 12 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 10 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 7 years with Ph.D.
- Requires current CISSP, CISM, or CASP+ IA cybersecurity certification
- Expert knowledge of Zero Trust architecture
- Strong RMF and NIST framework experience
- Proficiency in security tools (SIEM, IDS/IPS)
- Experience with DoD cybersecurity requirements
- 4+ years leading security teams
- U.S Citizenship required
- DoD TS with ability to obtain/maintain SCI clearance
- Bachelor's degree is required; Master's degree is preferred in Cybersecurity or Computer Science
- 12 years relevant experience
