We are seeking an Electronics Technician 4 to join our Security and Electronic Systems (SES) business Unit. As part of (SES) Strategic Business Unit you will be part of a team that designs, engineers, integrates, operates and maintains electronic security services inclusive of intrusion detection, access control, biometric authentication, video surveillance, audio visual, it systems, perimeter defense and command and control systems for federal, local and commercial customers across high-growth markets.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

In this role you will be responsible for leading installation, configuration, sustainment, and documentation of integrated electronic security systems. Essential responsibilities and activities include but are not limited to:

Leadership & Project Execution
  • Travel is required to support field office operations.
  • Leading teams on large, complex installation projects with limited supervision.
  • Leading and documenting daily toolbox talks, Operational Risk Management (ORM) reviews, and safety audits.
  • Installing and maintaining equipment at both the local and enterprise level in accordance with design packages.
  • Performing take-offs from project drawings and supporting design-assist activities.
  • Creating, documenting, and tracking RFIs.
  • Documenting daily reports, installation progress, and project milestones.
  • Communicating project and team member issues or concerns to management.
  • Creating and managing project schedules.
  • Forecasting and managing project labor hours.
  • Guiding and mentoring technicians and ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards.
  • Communicating effectively with supervisors, stakeholders, and subordinates.


System Installation, Configuration & Integration
  • Programming and installing head-end equipment for Access Control, Intrusion Detection, and CCTV systems.
  • Leading on-site software commissioning, configuration, and acceptance testing.
  • Integrating IDS, ACS, and CCTV systems across enterprise environments.
  • Troubleshooting and isolating system and hardware issues at both local and global levels.
  • Managing and monitoring access control systems within the Bosch Intrusion Detection System (IDS), including configuring permissions, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring compliance with security policies.
  • Testing access control, database, and system integrations, including credentials, access levels, and visitor workflows.


Training Delivery & Documentation
  • Delivering training sessions and classes to personnel on new and existing system components.
  • Creating training materials, user guides, and hands-on workshop content.
  • Leading workshops to ensure personnel understand how to operate, troubleshoot, and maintain system components.
  • Documenting all training, including attendance, topics covered, and feedback, for inclusion in program reporting.


Maintenance & System Sustainment
  • Leading monthly preventive maintenance activities, including inspections, testing, cleaning, and servicing of all system components.
  • Leading quarterly comprehensive maintenance activities at the primary facility.
  • Documenting all maintenance activities, findings, and corrective actions.
  • Supporting system updates, device replacements, and integration tasks.
  • Ensuring system performance, reliability, and compliance with operational standards.


Documentation & Reporting
  • Documenting preventive maintenance, test results, calibrations, and performance metrics.
  • Maintaining accurate as-built drawings, device inventories, and configuration records.
  • Ensuring all required documentation is completed accurately and submitted on schedule.


Qualifications

Clearance/Citizen Type: Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements, including U.S. Citizenship, for access to classified information; Must possess and maintain a Top Secret security clearance and be able to obtain an SCI clearance.

Requirements:
  • Requires a valid driver's license.
  • This position may require ongoing or intermittent use of a company vehicle; acceptable driving record required.


Education:
  • HS diploma or GED is required
  • Military Electronics Training (minimum 720 classroom hours), or
  • Graduation from an accredited Electronics Technician program, or
  • Graduation from an Electrical Apprenticeship program, or
  • An additional three (3) years of electronics installation and/or maintenance activities.


Required Progressive Experience:
  • 8+ years of electronics installation and/or maintenance activities on multiple systems and with multiple customer programs.
  • Strong oral, written, and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated background working with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Demonstrated time-management and organizational skills to meet deadlines and quality objectives.
  • Strong MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills are a plus.

  • Software House CCure 9000 Enterprise Architecture MAS
  • Software House CCure 9000 Enterprise Architecture SAS
  • Software House CCure 9000 Advanced Integrator
  • Bosch BVMS Technical Certification
  • Bosch IDS Certification


Desired / Advantageous Qualifications:
  • Vendor certifications in multiple IDS, ACS, and CCTV systems.
  • Experience with:
    • Identiv/Hirsch Velocity
    • Bosch Radionics
    • Bosch CCTV
    • Bosch BVMS
    • Aiphone Intercom Systems
    • FFT
    • DIVAR
    • Windows operating systems and related certifications
  • Lenel OnGuard Enterprise Security System certification (1000 and 2000)

Abilities:
  • The position requires the ability to lift, carry, and move objects weighing up to [50 pounds] on a regular basis. Candidates must demonstrate physical strength and stamina to perform various tasks, including but not limited to, loading, and unloading, operating equipment, and assisting in the transportation of various materials. Proper lifting techniques and safety protocols must be followed to ensure personal and team safety.
  • Relocates a 12 foot stepladder without assistance.
  • Works at various heights up to 60 feet and can climb and maintain balance on scaffolds, aerial lifts, catwalks and all types of ladders.
  • Walks, climbs, lifts, squats, crawls, kneels, pushes, pulls and reaches overhead on a routine and repetitive basis.
  • Possess good vision (may be corrected vision), the ability to see in color, and the ability to hear and communicate in English.
  • May use a standard ladder without exceeding the weight limit while carrying tools.
  • Tell when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong. It does not involve solving the problem, only recognizing there is a problem.
  • Apply general rules to specific problems to produce answers that make sense.
