The Influence and Integration Department advances ODNI's enterprise priorities by translating policy intent into integrated, executable approaches across the Intelligence Community. The department supports ODNI's policy and mission integration efforts by shaping policy frameworks, strengthening governance and oversight, and guiding capability development that connects strategic direction to mission execution. Through disciplined analysis, enterprise coordination, and sustained partnership, the department aligns policy, mission priorities, and analytic leadership to enable coherent implementation of modernization initiatives and reinforce ODNI's role as the strategic leader of the IC.

Roles & Responsibilities:

The Influence and Integration Department seeks a Lead Task Leader for Project ODNI Policy & Capabilities Directorate. We are seeking a motivated and creative Task Leader with proven experience in project management, technical and thought leadership in the Artificial Intelligence (AI) mission space, sponsor relations, and team development. As a Lead Task Leader, you will be accountable for the overall direction, work shaping, programmatic support, internal and external coordination, execution, and outcomes of MITRE work for the sponsor's evolving AI mission. The primary activities of the team are the development of policy and strategy, systems architecture, and acquisition plans for ODNI and the Intelligence Community.
  • Lead MITRE's efforts in support of the sponsor:
    • Direct and oversee the development of all task work products; some work products will have MITRE as the primary author, while MITRE may engage in data collection or other support roles while a Government staff member serves as the primary author.
    • Leverage MITRE expertise, research, approaches, frameworks, and technical solutions as appropriate to help achieve the sponsor's mission outcomes.
  • Serve as the Task's primary point of contact across the P&C work program.
  • Build and nurture a high-performing team that meets sponsor's desired outcomes.

Sponsor/Stakeholder Engagement
  • Serve as the lead MITRE point of contact to the Campaign's leadership team.
  • Provide appropriate technical support and reach back to the Campaign and Office leadership.
  • Engage with the Campaign's and Office's leadership teams to understand and shape desired task outcomes.

Work Program Definition and Execution
  • Understand the sponsor's desired mission outcomes and participate in future work-shaping.
  • Work with the P&C project leadership team to develop and execute sponsor engagement strategy.
  • Develop and maintain an executable support plan, and execute the plan within allocation
  • Ensure the right staffing skill mix and resources are in place

Communication
  • Ensure that program area knowledge is shared openly to all task leaders and team members.
  • Serve as communication conduit between project team and sponsor leadership.
  • Seek internal feedback on project activities and sponsor engagements from project team.
  • Recognize team accomplishments and achievement appropriately.


Basic Qualifications:
  • Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 6 years and a Master's degree; or a PhD with 3 years' experience; or equivalent combination of related education and work experience.
  • Active TS/SCI with CI Polygraph
  • U.S. Citizenship required.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver clear and concise deliverables to Government sponsors.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a staff in the production of deliverables for Government sponsors.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with staff on other tasks to share applicable information to improve MITRE support to Government sponsors.
  • Due to the lengthy clearance process and our urgent need, candidates without an existing TS/SCI clearance with polygraph cannot be considered for this opening.
  • This position has an on-site requirement of 4 days a week on-site


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Degree in Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or related field.

Salary compensation range and midpoint:
$174,000 - $217,500 - $261,000 Annual
