SCIS is seeking a skilled Systems Administrator to join our team in Minneapolis, MN. This on-site role is an ideal opportunity for a cleared IT professional who thrives in a mission-critical environment supporting Department of Defense (DoD) programs. You’ll work alongside dedicated professionals ensuring our infrastructure is secure, efficient, and aligned with the highest federal standards.
What You’ll Do:
Operate, monitor, and maintain Windows and Cloud-based (primarily Azure) systems.
Design and deploy secure IT environments in compliance with DAAPM, NIST SP 800-53, and RMF frameworks.
Establish and maintain system configurations, patches, and backup procedures.
Collaborate with ISSMs, ISSOs, and FSOs on authorization and compliance efforts.
Provide Tier 1 and 2 technical support and troubleshooting for end users.
Manage user permissions and access controls while ensuring security compliance.
Document procedures and contribute to user training and process improvements.
What You’ll Need:
U.S. Citizenship
Active Secret Security Clearance
DoD 8140 IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+, CCNA-Security, etc.)
Associate’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field
3+ years of systems administration experience
2+ years of experience with Cloud (preferably Azure)
Strong understanding of Windows environments, system hardening, STIGs, and security tools (e.g., Splunk, SCC, ACAS)
