Now Hiring: Clearance & Training Specialist (CTS)
Location: On-site in Columbia, MD
Are you a detail-oriented professional who thrives on keeping people and organizations compliant, credentialed, and ready? We're looking for a Clearance & Training Specialist to join our Region Office team, an essential role at the intersection of learning & development, security clearance processing, administrative and HR operations.
Key Responsibilities:
LMS Administration: Manage user accounts, curricula assignments, training completions, compliance monitoring, and reporting.
Compliance Auditing: Ensure up-to-date compliance across CPR/AED, state/local licensing, NISPOM briefings, driving records, and background checks.
Clearance Processing: Support full government clearance workflows for the Region, including PSIs, SF86s, SF312s, fingerprinting, and periodic reviews.
Training Coordination: Build and maintain internal training schedules (orientation, in-person, virtual) and coordinate with third-party vendors for specialized programs.
Records Management: Keep certification and training data accurate and current across the learning database and employee files.
Onboarding & HR Support: Initiate new hires in the HR system, manage onboarding materials, and provide cross-functional administrative support as needed.
What You Bring:
US citizenship preferred
Ability to acquire and maintain required DOD security clearance
Experience in HR administration, training coordination, or a compliance-focused role
Familiarity with Learning Management Systems and HR databases
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
Clear communicator comfortable working with applicants, hiring managers, and third-party vendors
Comfortable w/ operating in a fast-paced, professional environment.
Knowledge of government security clearance processes (SF86, SF312, PSI) highly preferred
