Position Summary:

KBR is seeking a highly capable Senior Data & Pricing Analyst to serve as a lead analyst on a new Contract Evaluation Team, playing a critical role in the evaluation of contractor proposals for advanced, next-generation hypersonic weapon systems. Through meticulous data management and rigorous price analysis, you will provide the data-driven insight necessary to assess cost realism, identify execution risks, and ensure the government selects the most capable and cost-effective solutions. Your analysis will directly support senior acquisition leaders and help shape major acquisition decisions that support national defense priorities and the future of America's advanced strike capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support evaluation of contractor proposals related to advanced weapon system development, modification, production, and sustainment programs.
  • Collect, organize, and manage large volumes of proposal data across multiple technical, cost, and programmatic proposal volumes.
  • Perform price analysis and data-driven evaluation of contractor pricing submissions, identifying trends, inconsistencies, and potential cost risks.
  • Develop and maintain structured datasets and analytical tools supporting proposal evaluations.
  • Support evaluation teams by producing quantitative analyses, data summaries, and visualizations that inform acquisition decision-making.
  • Analyze contractor proposal data to assess:
    • Pricing structures and cost assumptions
    • Cost drivers and programmatic risk areas
    • Schedule and production cost implications
    • Trends across multiple proposals or program submissions
    • Incorporation of learning
  • Analyze historical data of similar projects to see how costs decreased as experience grew and apply learning to the proposed costs, adjusting them based on the proposed team's starting experience and the project's duration.
  • Analyze opportunities to accelerate tasks based on proficiency/learning.
  • Identify proposals that don't adequately account for learning curves, which might indicate unrealistic cost or schedule projections, aiding in risk assessment.
  • Support the Proposal Evaluation Lead in developing data-driven evaluation reports and briefing materials for senior government acquisition leadership.
  • Work closely with the Technical SME to integrate technical and manufacturing insights with cost and pricing data.
  • Maintain strong data management practices, ensuring proposal evaluation data is accurate, traceable, and properly documented.
  • Assist in identifying cross-program pricing trends and lessons learned across the weapon acquisition portfolio.

Work Environment:
  • Location: On-site (Eglin AFB, FL)
  • Travel Requirements: Low, 10-15%
  • Working Hours: Standard - Core hours 0900 - 1500

Qualifications:

Required:
  • Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility (required).
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Data Analytics, Statistics, Engineering, or related field.
  • 8+ years of experience supporting defense acquisition, proposal analysis, pricing, cost analysis, or data analytics activities.
  • Strong experience in data management and quantitative analysis.
  • Demonstrated experience conducting price analysis or cost-related analysis for complex programs.
  • Keen understanding of defense industrial base pricing methodologies and rate structures
  • Proficiency with data analysis tools and software, such as:
    • Excel (advanced functions, pivot tables, data modeling)
    • Data analytics or visualization tools
    • Structured database or data management systems
  • Ability to organize and analyze large and complex datasets derived from contractor proposals or program data.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify trends, anomalies, and insights within large datasets.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present analytical findings clearly to technical and acquisition teams.

Desired:
  • 10-15 years of experience supporting defense acquisition or pricing analysis.
  • Experience supporting DoW proposal evaluations, source selections, or acquisition programs.
  • Experience conducting price analysis, cost realism assessments, or pricing reviews for government acquisitions.
  • Familiarity with FAR/DFARS pricing principles and acquisition processes.
  • Experience working with proposal cost volumes or contractor pricing submissions.
  • Experience supporting major defense programs or weapon system acquisitions.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools, statistical analysis tools, or programming languages used for data analysis
