Description:You will be the Senior Quality Engineer supporting an Advanced Programs development program at Lockheed Martin in Grand Prairie, TX. Our team is responsible for ensuring the quality of products and services provided by suppliers across the United States, and we're looking for a seasoned professional to lead these efforts.
What You Will Be Doing
As the Senior Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for performing product source inspections, first articles, and product validations at supplier locations, as well as providing internal and supplier support for root cause and corrective/preventive actions. You will work closely with suppliers, program management, and customers to ensure that quality standards are met and program requirements are fulfilled.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting scheduled product source inspections, first articles, and product validations at supplier locations
- Providing internal and supplier support for root cause and corrective/preventive actions
- Supporting supplier requests and interfacing with customer needs and program management activities
- Participating in supplier failure/diagnosis and Material Review Board (MRB) activities as required
- Performing ongoing surveillance of supplier conformance to Lockheed Martin requirements and providing written weekly reports
- Providing technical liaison support related to quality engineering matters
- Ensuring supplier contract flow-down requirements are implemented and verified

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance. A company-sponsored interim secret is required to start.
Basic Qualifications:
-STEM Degree at bachelors level or higher, or equivalent experience
-Must be a US citizen and have the ability to obtain a security clearance
-A strong understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
-Demonstrated understanding of AS9100 and ISO9001
-Experience with non-conformance documentation/ MRB Authority
-Ability to perform root cause analysis and identify solutions to complex problems utilizing causal analysis tools; Ability to identify and document quality deficiencies and ensure effective corrective actions are identified and implemented
-Strong understanding of engineering requirements, mechanical and electrical inspections - ability to interpret drawings, specifications, contracts that will enable development and review of QE Processes and related Performance Metrics.
-A basic understanding of special processes
-Understanding of how to manage and interface with suppliers on a daily bases to support the Program
-Knowledge and understanding of critical design attributes and auditing/surveying capabilities
-Presentation Skills
-Experience with Quality, Supplier Quality, and/or Critical Design Review
Desired Skills:
-STEM Degree at bachelors level or higher preferred
-Experience with Aerospace Electrical Design, Electrical Components, Printed Wiring Boards, Printed Wiring Assemblies, Wiring Harness, Connectors
-Experience with J-STD-001, IPC-610, IPC-620
-A basic understanding of the MFC SAP and Procure to Pay (P2P) business systems
-ASQ Certification or Lean Six Sigma Certification (Green Belt/Black Belt)
-Experience with working with suppliers in a dynamic environment
-Experience with performing First Article Inspections to AS9102 requirements
-Experience with source inspection and surveillance activities at suppliers
-Demonstrated Leadership, Customer Relationship Management skills
