The Alternate Site Manager (ASM) is responsible for meeting Contractor's work requirements, including scheduling of personnel, work supervision, and quality control. The Assistant Site Manager have full authority to act for the Contractor relating to daily contract operation in the absence of the Site Manager.
The ASM will act as the Fitness Manager (FM). You will implement and maintain an integrated fitness and sports program ensuring successful fitness operations 24 hours/day, 7 days/week. The FM shall actively engage with customers regarding programs and events and shall encourage participation. The FM shall be present at events to effectively manage and monitor the programs.
The FM identifies equipment needs and/or reductions and may recommend items for remodeling and repairing of facilities, and upkeep of equipment. Reviews ideas and implements new services or programs or implements improvements to existing services or programs. Schedule events reflective of community needs to maximize participation.
The FM will have complete understanding and application of principles, concepts, practices, and standards. Full knowledge of industry practices.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Oversee successful operations of 24-hour Fitness Center and fitness & sports program ensuring all PWS requirements are maintained.
- Oversee the maintenance of the facility ensuring a clean, sanitary, presentable, professional work area free of dirt, debris, clutter, trash and dust.
- Create and submit a tentative quarterly (3 month) planning calendar to be provided to the COR.
- Oversee cleaning, maintenance, repairs and replacement (as needed) of all fitness equipment related to the fitness program.
- Ensure the minimum number of required tournaments, special events, fitness incentive programs, and aerobics/strength training classes ensuring available to all shifts IAW government requirements.
- Program, implement and conduct intramural league sports inclusive of but not exclusive to basketball, volleyball, and indoor soccer.
- Assist with other facilities or departments as needed to ensure mission success.
- Coordinate between eight (8) and ten (10) special sports events each month such as weekly tournaments for sports other than the current league sport, and competitions such as weightlifting, 5k and 10k fun runs.
- Monitor all OCN staff associated with the department and if needed other departments.
- Create and provide appropriate marketing/publicity material for fitness programs and events inclusive but not limited to marketing flyers, email blasts, T-Shirt design, medals and/or trophy designs.
- Assemble and perform all operation checks and warranty services on fitness equipment IAW manufacturer's guidelines. The Contractor shall ensure at least 95% of equipment inventory is always operational for use.
- Perform daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual preventive maintenance, adjustments, and repairs.
- Identify and make recommendations for repair or replacement of equipment.
- Obtain all needed replacement parts required to keep fitness equipment running to manufacturer's standards.
- Establish and properly maintain a small bench stock to ensure fitness equipment maintenance and repairs are not delayed due to lack of parts at least 95 percent of the time.
- The ASM shall ensure that personnel assigned to all tasks have the requisite knowledge and skills to meet minimum performance requirements and comply with all applicable laws and regulations.
- The ASM shall document all training by name, training and date and make these records available to the COR or designated representative upon request.
- Communicate equipment performance expectations to suppliers including quality, performance, manufacturing, capacity, system fit and life cycle costs.
- Assist with other facilities or departments as needed to ensure mission success.
- Monitor all OCN/LN staff performance and provide the necessary training to perform the assigned duties to meet the customer requirements.
- The ASM shall be available within four (4) hours to meet on the installation with Government personnel (designated by the ACO) to discuss focus areas.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least six (6) years of experience of Installation Support Services (ISS) inclusive of five (5) years of experienced supervising and managing DoD sports and fitness programs.
- Trained/certified and reliable for officiating core sports and/or recreational sports.
- CPR and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) certification.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
- Ability to officiate four (4) core sports inclusive of but not exclusive to flag-football, soccer, volleyball, and basketball.
- Air Force Instructions for procurement, lodging, NAF resale and property procedures.
- Air Force Support (SVS) experience not required but highly desirable.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENT:
- Must possess a valid U.S. Driver's License
- Possess a valid U.S. Passport (preferred)
- Must be able to meet all current USCENTCOM Deployment Policy Requirements, as outlined in the USCENTCOM APR 23 MOD EIGHTEEN TO USCENTCOM INDIVIDUAL AND INDIVIDUAL-UNIT DEPLOYMENT POLICY
- Able to obtain and maintain a valid Residency Visa for the deployed location host country.
- Must be able to work in extreme environmental conditions including dust and high temperatures.
- Must be able to endure long hours, exposure to weather and hazardous conditions.
