Position Overview

The Material Coordinator provides critical material control and logistics coordination support for Organizational (O) and select Intermediate (I) level maintenance of Navy C-130 and KC-130 aircraft at the Reserve Aviation Maintenance Center of Excellence (RAMCE). This role ensures the timely flow, accountability, and availability of aircraft parts, assemblies, tools, and hazardous materials required to support scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, inspections, technical directives, and aircraft induction/throughput operations.

Working closely with Maintenance Control, production supervisors, and supply personnel, the Material Coordinator directly supports single-aircraft flow operations while maintaining flexibility to support dual-aircraft induction as mission demands require. All duties are performed in accordance with applicable inspection work decks, NAMP requirements, and the Performance Work Statement (PWS).

Key Responsibilities

Coordinate and expedite the movement of materials, parts, assemblies, and support equipment to support aircraft maintenance production schedules and priorities
Review production schedules and confer with Maintenance Control and shop supervisors to identify required, overdue, or critical materials
Requisition, track, and stage material deliveries in alignment with job order priorities and anticipated availability
Monitor and control the movement of material throughout the maintenance process using manual and computerized tracking systems
Verify accuracy, condition, and configuration of materials delivered to production departments
Maintain perpetual inventory records and material status reports to support aircraft, engine, and SE maintenance activities
Support Material Control (Supply) functions including AMMRL, IMRL, hazardous material handling, and shelf-life management
Coordinate in-plant transfer of materials and arrange transportation between departments as required
Support Tool Control Program operations, including tool issue/receipt, tool room configuration, and accountability
Maintain logs, records, and documentation for aircraft, engines, and support equipment in accordance with NAMP and PWS requirements
Assist with METCAL coordination, calibration tracking, and documentation
Ensure compliance with all applicable maintenance and logistics programs, including FOD Prevention, Corrosion Control, Hazardous Material Management, and Technical Directive compliance
Support audits, inspections, and data analysis related to material readiness and logistics performance
Required Qualifications

Active Secret security clearance
Experience coordinating material, supply, or logistics operations in an aviation maintenance, manufacturing, or industrial environment
Working knowledge of aircraft maintenance material flow, production control, and logistics support processes
Familiarity with NAMP requirements, maintenance documentation, and material accountability practices
Experience with inventory management systems and computerized material tracking tools
Ability to read and interpret production schedules, technical documentation, and maintenance work decks
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize competing maintenance and production demands
Ability to lift, move, and transport materials using hand trucks or industrial equipment as required
Effective communication skills for coordination with Maintenance Control, supervisors, and supply personnel
Work Schedule

O- and I-Level Maintenance Shifts:

Shift 1: Monday–Friday | 0700–1530
Shift 2: Monday–Friday | 1500–2330
