DUTY 1 - Plans, organizes, and oversees the activities of the Strategic Integration Directorate.

This is a GG-15 position in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). The GG-15 duties for the "Supervision/Management" work category are at the "Expert" work level and are equivalent to those at the GS-15 level. The selectee's salary will be set within the grade equivalent to a GS/GG grade based on the selectee's qualifications in relation to the job.
To qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements describes in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Professional and Scientific Positions.
BASIC REQUIREMENT OR INDIVIDUAL OCCUPATIONAL REQUIREMENT:A. Degree: physical science, engineering, or mathematics that included 24 semester hours in physical science and/or related engineering science such as mechanics, dynamics, properties of materials, and electronics

B. Combination of education and experience -- education equivalent to one of the majors shown in A above that included at least 24 semester hours in physical science and/or related engineering science, plus appropriate experience, or additional education.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Your resume must reflect the quality level of experience which demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for successful job performance required for this position. Examples of creditable experience include: Follows broad requirements associated with the tasks, guidelines are generally available, but they must be adapted for the tasks. Applies expert level background and knowledge in the AFTAC mission areas to bridge gaps in available guidelines and directives to accomplish the mission and to correct documentation deficiencies. Work involves a wide range of complex assignments and non-routine situations that require extensive knowledge and experience in the technical fields within the Directorate. Note: Creditable experience may include previous military experience, experience gained in the private sector, or experience gained in another government agency.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
1. A broad knowledge of multiple scientific fields, such as nuclear, chemical, meteorological, and computer science is required. Knowledge of safety and security regulations, practices, and procedures.
2. Ability to plan, organize, and direct the functions and mentor, motivate, and appraise the staff of an organization through subordinate supervisors.
3. Ability to analyze, plan, and adjust work operations of one or more organizational segments to meet program requirements and objectives within available resources.
4. Ability to communicate both orally and in writing.
5. Understanding of the technologies, methods, and US policies governing the technical aspects for WMD treaty monitoring and international inspection regimes. Knowledge of a wide range of techniques, scientific methods, data evaluation systems, and standards related to technology and system assessments
6. Experience in planning, programming, budgeting, and executing technical programs with national and international impact and the ability to plan, organize, and direct the staff of an organization including special study teams and task forces composed of members from different organization and commands.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
