Job Description
As a Security Officer - Unarmed Driving Role in Indianapolis, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. Join Allied Universal at an aerospace and defense location where you will conduct routine unarmed patrols, stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support access control and incident reporting. This is a driving post requiring a valid drivers license under AU Driver Policy Requirements, with vehicle patrols as part of the assignment. Bring clear communication and customer service while working with a caring team that is agile, reliable, innovative, and guided by integrity.

What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an aero and defense location.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including notifying Allied Universal leadership and/or site contacts as required.
- Conduct regular and random foot patrols of buildings, hangars, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
- Control access by monitoring gates and/or entry points, verifying identification and/or badges as directed, and directing visitors to the appropriate check-in process.
- Complete routine documentation such as patrol logs, incident reports, and shift handoff notes, and communicate observed hazards and/or maintenance needs through approved channels.
Minimum Requirements:
- A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
