The Electrical & Electronics Technician will apply basic and some advanced engineering techniques and principles to develop, design, modify, install, test, evaluate or operate electrical, electronic, surface ship combat systems, avionics, mechanical, communications, stores, armament/ordnance, or related data processing systems for military weapon systems or associated support equipment or facilities.

In addition, the Electrical & Electronics Technician will:
- Provide for the maintenance, repair, inspection, and troubleshooting of system equipment or components.
- Organize, analyze, and prepare reports or presentations of technical data and information.
- Plan and perform tests and evaluations of systems equipment or components. Compile, process, reduce, or analyze test data and results.
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalency certification. Successful completion of a technical school, trade school, or advanced armed services technical school curriculum or course of training in electricity, electronics, avionics, mechanics, armaments/ordinance, or engineering technology; or successful completion of at least 15 semester hours of course studies at an accredited college or university in engineering, scientific, or technical curriculum.
- A minimum of four years' experience in aircraft and weapons systems, shipboard combat systems, hardware, instrumentation, or software development.
- Active Secret security clearance.
