Duties

The United States Space Force (USSF) at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base is searching for a Team Lead Intelligence Specialist for NSIC (GG-0132-13).

Description:
The 4th Intelligence Analysis Squadron is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Intelligence Specialist to serve as a Team Lead within our Non-Earth Imagery Flight. This is a full-performance level position for an imagery analyst professional with deep expertise in the national intelligence community. The Team Lead coordinates and tracks complex taskings; production and Processing, Exploitation, and Dissemination requirements; directs and monitors the projects and work of junior intelligence specialists; and ensures quality assurance and technical accuracy standards are established. The position is responsible for producing critical assessments for senior leaders and national decision-makers.

Ideal Candidate:
The ideal candidate would possess a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or an equivalent level of professional experience, and have already completed required foundational IMINT training. They should be proficient in advanced intelligence analysis techniques and methodologies, the use of IC and DoD systems, databases, and tools for intelligence processing, exploitation, and dissemination (PED). 3-7 years of professional experience in imagery exploitation, with a strong background in space intelligence analysis is desired. The candidate should have demonstrated experience leading intelligence production teams or complex analytical projects, and establishing and maintaining liaison channels with other IC and DoD organizations.

Key Skills and Abilities:
1. Knowledge of the full range of intelligence research, processing, and exploitation methods, techniques, and practices using multi-source intelligence information to capture and report intelligence information in a usable form that directly or indirectly affects national security; interprets policy and commits resources impacting intelligence capabilities.
2. Knowledge of advanced USAF and national ISR processing and exploitation, and PED capabilities, systems, and multi-source intelligence production policies to process and exploit complex information/situations attained from multiple sources.
3. Knowledge of the national intelligence community, Joint, DoD structure, organizations, mission/functions, inter relationships, and operations.
4. Skill in conducting unbiased complex research, identifying appropriate available systems/data sources, and producing processing and exploitation requirement assessments that answer specific tasks to link and leverage agency capabilities in support of consumers, customers, and clients.
5. Skill in communicating effectively with others both orally and in writing, in working out solutions to problems or questions related to the work, writing clear and concise intelligence products, and delivering written and/or verbal presentations to senior level audiences for decision-making purposes. 6. Ability to maintain control of classified material, quickly assimilate disparate data, render knowledgeable and accurate assessments of the implication of such data, and make decisions, estimates, and recommendations under conditions of urgency and pressure based on mature judgment and experience and present and/or defend a position effectively.

  • Must be a U.S Citizen.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret /SCI security clearance.
  • Safeguards classified or sensitive budget-related information and/or files.
  • May be required to work overtime on an unscheduled or emergency basis.
  • Eligible for situational telework only, including Emergency and OPM prescribed "Unscheduled Telework".
  • This position will close after 5 business days or 75 applications, whichever comes first.
  • Employee may be required to perform travel by military or commercial passenger aircraft in the performance of temporary duty assignments.
  • PCS / relocation funding is authorized.
  • This position is designated as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Drug Testing Program.
  • An advanced intelligence-related or professional/scientific degree is desirable.
  • Subject to Temporary Duty Assignment (TDY): 30 days a year.
  • This position is covered by the DCIPS.
  • Incumbent may be subject to psychological screening/ polygraph testing as an inherent primary requirement of their position.
