Essential Responsibilities:

  • Interpret program requirements, audit auxiliary units to ascertain correctness of input data, and check condition and arrangement of CCTV system.
  • Strong knowledge of digital and analog circuity, schematic reading, and blueprints.
  • Monitors CCTV system and runs surveillance review upon request.
  • Hands-on knowledge of digital multimeters, hand/power tools, power supplies, specific testing systems to pinpoint faults.
  • Performing soldering and hot air shrink work on components and cables.
  • Program IP information with network routers for port forwarding and internet-based for CCTV viewing, recording and playback.
  • Run conduit, pull wire, mount electronics, configure software, for access control system.
  • Create individual access cards and maintain database for access control system.
  • Experience with the installation and configuration of switches and routers for the CCTV system.
  • Design modifications to current interface to identify and support database requirements.


Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands:

Physical Effort: The work requires frequent standing, walking, bending, climbing ladders, and using hydraulic platforms at elevated heights. In addition, the work requires frequent lifting and carrying equipment weighing up to 45 pounds.

Working Conditions: Work is performed inside and outside in all types of weather. Inside work areas can range from well lighted, heated, and climatically controlled to poorly illuminated work areas such as attics, crawl spaces, and basements. Workers are exposed to dust, dirt, and
falls from ladders/platforms while installing equipment. Subject to cuts and bruises from handling equipment and from using hand tools. Constant sitting while using the computer terminal, constant use of sight abilities while reviewing documents, constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, constant mental alertness, must possess planning/organizing skills, and must be able to work under deadlines.

Minimum Position Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

  • High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) is required.
  • Twelve months job related experience and/or training is required.
  • Well versed in CCTV Systems, fiber-optic cabling, and installation.
  • Knowledge of how to troubleshoot switches, hubs, and routers.
  • Experience with IP and MAC addresses.
  • Experience with using loopback addresses.
  • Experience with Transmission Control Protocol (TCP) and User/Universal Datagram Protocol (UDP).
  • Experience with Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP).
  • Experience with Address Resolution Protocol (ARP).
  • Experience reading blueprints.
  • Ability to work at heights on boom or scissor lifts.
  • Planning the sequence of actions necessary to accomplish the assignment.
  • Strong organization and computer skills.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and a government background check.
  • Must have a Secret Clearance or able to obtain a Secret Clearance.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization. Note: US Citizenship is required for facility credentials/authorization at this work location.
  • Must be able to speak, read and write English.


Compensation & Benefits

HIRING HOURLY Rate of Pay: $34.58 (Hourly rate set by Area Wage Determination)

This position includes a competitive benefits package, to include:
  • Vacation Benefits: 2 weeks paid vacation after 1 year of service with a contractor or successor; 3 weeks after 8 years, 4 weeks after 15 years, and 5 weeks after 25 years.
  • Sick leave: IAW Executive Order 13706 employees are provided with up to seven (7) days of paid sick leave annually.
  • SCA Health & Welfare Benefits: Employees are provided with hourly rate set by AWD, up to 80 hours per pay period for the purchase of all, some, or no benefits. The remaining balance will be deposited into a 401k account.
  • 11 Paid holidays annually (prorated dependent on hire date)
