Pay Range: $80,000 - $95,000 per year
Purpose:
- Providing Navy Afloat Maintenance Training Strategy (NAMTS) program administration, execution support and guidance at their parent Navy Training Maintenance Activities (NTMA). Provide support to other NTMAs within their geographic region as needed (if no Regional NAMTS Coordinator (RNC) is assigned).
Job Description:
- Assist the NTMA leadership and NAMTS organization as required.
- Conduct United States Apprenticeship Program (USMAP) and JQR indoctrination, including an overview of all components and benefits of the NAMTS program for NTMA leadership and NAMTS candidates.
Qualifications:
- Must have a Bachelor's Degree OR Associates Degree
- Must have at least 10 years of experience within a Shore Intermediate Maintenance Activity (SIMA), Supervisor Ship Building (SUPSHIP), Intermediate Maintenance Facilities (IMF), Regional Maintenance Center (RMC) or Non-Nuclear Afloat Maintenance Department as a supervisor in charge of scheduling, training and quality assurance (QA) of Sailors that perform I-Level shipboard maintenance and repair on engineering, deck, combat systems and/or C4I equipment.
OR
- Must have at least 15 years experience within a Shore Intermediate Maintenance Activity (SIMA), Supervisor Ship Building (SUPSHIP), Intermediate Maintenance Facilities (IMF), Regional Maintenance Center (RMC) or Non-Nuclear Afloat Maintenance Department as a supervisor in charge of scheduling, training and quality assurance (QA).
Desired Qualifications :
- Work independently and manage a project, analyze data, anticipate potential problems, provide solutions and respond to data-calls and direction from the Project Manager in a timely manner.
- At least 1 year of experience providing the senior leadership (O-6/GS-15) oral and written presentations, correspondence, documents and reports.
- At least 5 years of experience within a SIMA, SUPSHIP, RMC, IMF or Non-Nuclear Afloat Maintenance Department as a supervisor in charge of scheduling, training and QA of Sailors that perform I-Level shipboard maintenance and repair on engineering, deck, combat systems and/or C4I equipment.

- Subject to outside environmental conditions (extreme cold/heat), subject to noise, vibration, hazards, atmospheric conditions (affect the respiratory system), frequently work in close quarters and/or function in narrow aisles or passageways (areas that could cause claustrophobia).
- Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods, Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another, Communicating with others to exchange information, Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers, light work that includes moving objects up to 20 pounds.
