OVERVIEW:
We are seeking an experienced System Administrator to install, configure, operate, and sustain enterprise infrastructure systems in support of a mission-critical environment. This role is responsible for maintaining the stability, security, and performance of Linux, Windows, and VMware (VxRail) systems, while supporting day-to-day operations across both on-premises and cloud-based environments.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience installing and sustaining Linux and Windows servers, as well as administering VMware-based infrastructure, including VxRail environments. This role requires experience running vulnerability scanning tools, analyzing findings, and applying remediation actions to maintain system security and compliance. Candidates should also have experience supporting AWS cloud deployments and working with identity and access management technologies, including Keycloak, SAML, and related identity management tools.
In addition, the System Administrator will support the installation, configuration, and maintenance of containerized tools and services, including managing Docker images and related container environments. The selected candidate should be comfortable working across multiple technologies to ensure systems remain secure, reliable, and operationally effective. This position is 100% onsite.

GENERAL DUTIES:
- Install, configure, and maintain operating system workstations and servers
- Perform software installations and upgrades to operating systems and layered software packages
- Schedule installations and upgrades in accordance with established IT policies and procedures
- Monitor and tune systems to achieve optimum performance levels
- Ensure workstation/server data integrity by implementing appropriate software and hardware solutions
- Ensure data/media recoverability through system backups and database archive operations
- Develop and promote standard operating procedures
- Conduct routine hardware and software audits to ensure compliance with standards and configurations
- Develop and maintain comprehensive operating system hardware and software configuration databases
- Support analytical tool infrastructure
- Participate in Program Increments (PIs) and Agile Release Train (ART) activities
- Respond to and resolve critical incidents within designated resolution timeline
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering or related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in systems engineering or related field.
- Active Top Secret (TS) clearance with eligibility for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) with a CI polygraph.
- Understanding of forensic and investigative system requirements.
- Demonstrated experience designing and implementing secure systems in government environments.
- Advanced proficiency with:
- Windows and Linux operating systems
- Windows Active Directory
- Virtualization technologies (VSphere, VXRail, Proxmox)
- Basic network configuration and troubleshooting
- System monitoring and performance tuning
- Backup and recovery procedures
