Location: Tampa, FL with potential for OCONUS deployment periods.
Description:
Provide support in the form of application development, scripting, debugging, and value-added software development expertise to a digital forensic lab. Maintain existing software and develop new software to customer specifications.
Developers work with a variety of technologies including .NET (typically C#), Python, & SQL. We prefer that this mid-level individual is proficient in C#.
Developers will be based out of Tampa, FL and, on an as-needed basis, serve deployments to hazardous environments outside the continental United States (OCONUS) in direct support of our military customers.

The hourly rate of pay ranges from $43.27 - 96.15

Digital forensics is the practice of extracting and processing evidence from computers, phones, tablets, cameras, flash-drives, and just about any other form of digital media. The results of our work are then used to support federal and military law enforcement, counterintelligence, and counter terrorist activities.
Malware reverse engineering is the practice of analyzing malicious code. The goal of a reverse engineer is to understand how the malicious code works and determine facts such as:
*How did it infect the victim's computer *What kind of information it is seeking to steal *How is it communicating with the author (actor) *Who that actor might be.

Requirements:
- Must be a US Citizen
- Must currently hold a US government security clearance at the TS (Top Secret) level or higher
- Must be willing to work shift work (days only)
- Must hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering, Math or Physics
- Must have 3 years software developer experience at minimum
- Must have some experience working at the byte level and/or reverse engineering files and applications
- Proficiency in required in one of the following languages: Python, Java, C, C# or C++ **(C# is our preference)**
- Must be able to read and/or write x86, x64, and/or ARM Assembly code
- Familiarity with high and low level programming languages
- Capable of debugging software applications
- Able to gather testable software requirements
- Able to participate in the design of new software applications
- Familiarity with maintainable software processes including: software documentation, source code versioning, unit testing
- Able to quickly adapt to new situations and problems
- Able to operate in a mission-critical and time-sensitive environments
- Key qualities: Self-motivated, Detail-oriented, Strong work ethic
Desirable:
- Proficiency in C#
- Familiarity with digital forensics
- Familiarity with hex editors and working at the byte-level
- Reverse Engineering knowledge/abilities (x86/x64; IDA Pro, etc.)
