We are looking for a Part-Time Electronic Security System Technician II who can help with installing, diagnosing issues, and testing electronic security setups such as access control, intrusion sensors, and network systems on an as-needed basis. This role involves working alone at times and collaborating with others on a Department of Defense security project.

Responsibilities
- Install and service electronic security systems (access control, intrusion detection, infrastructure, etc.) according to project specifications and codes
- Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics
- Perform conduit and raceway installation, equipment rack assembly, cable installation, and cable termination
- Install system components including, but not limited to, head end equipment, security panels, card readers, and door hardware
- Assist in system configuration and network integration
- Assist in system verification testing and documentation
- Maintain proper inventory of tools, equipment, and materials
- Provide on-site customer training and support
- Comply with safety protocols and quality standard
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Possess 2-4 years of experience in electronic security systems or a related field
- Demonstrate working knowledge of low-voltage wiring, IP networks, and alarm systems
- Lenel certification is preferred but not required
- Active Secret Clearance required
- Exhibit the ability to work flexible hours and travel to various job sites
- Showcase strong troubleshooting and communication skills
- Be self-motivated with the demonstrated ability to take the initiative to troubleshoot and solve problems
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Skill in operating a personal computer and standard office equipment.
- Skilled in the use of basic hand and power tools (i.e. wire cutters, drills, screw drivers, etc.).
- Skilled in the use of testing equipment, such as multimeters, preferred.
- Must have knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database, (MSWord, Excel, Access, PowerPoint), and Outlook.
- Electronic Security System Manufacturer Certifications Preferred (Lenel, Software House, AMAG, Verkada, Genetec, Milestone, Avigilon, Axis, Hanwha, DMP)
