MTSI is seeking an experienced Software Engineer to support Hypersonic Data Framework Development. This position offers an exciting opportunity to innovate in the field of hypersonic test data management. You will design and maintain technical solutions that streamline data ingestion, organization, and operations to enable the Department of War (DoW) to derive actionable insights from extensive hypersonic test data sets. Ideally this candidate would possess a wide range of experience with Agile software development and DevSecOps practices.
Travel within CONUS may be required up to 15%.

Role and Responsibilities
- Own the front end for a cutting-edge Hypersonic test data visualization application
- Design and develop modern, responsive front-end applications using JavaScript to support data visualization and search
- Build interactive dashboards featuring charts, tables, filters, maps, and 2D plots
- Integrate front-end applications with automated data pipelines to ensure curated data is reflected in near-real time views
- Collaborate with backend, data, and platform engineers to define APIs and data contracts
- Implement reusable UI components and maintain scalable front-end architectures
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines by implementing automated testing and quality checks
- Apply DevSecOps best practices to ensure secure, reliable, and maintainable applications
- Support user-driven workflows where views and data update based on user requests and mission needs
- Document designs, implementations, and usage patterns to support long-term maintainability
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or software engineering
- US citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance
- Minimum of 3 years of experience with programming languages
- Must have experience with JavaScript development
- Must have experience with building front-end data visualizations and search interfaces
- Must have experience using NPM and modern JavaScript tooling
- Must have experience working on Agile teams with CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps practices
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Aerospace, Missiles, or Hypersonics domains
- Experience with React and component-based UI development
- Experience implementing automated Quality Assurance in CI/CD pipelines
- Familiarity with JavaScript CI tools such as Vitest, ESLing, Prettier, and Esbuild
- Experience collaborating with backend or data engineering teams
- Python development for backend services or data processing
- Experience with data pipelines (Argo workflows preferred)
- Familiarity with Spark and Python data libraries
- Experience with D3.js, GoJS or other advanced visualization libraries
- Experience with Next.js for polished web apps
- Mapping or geospatial visualization experience
- Experience building user-driven or role-based data views
- Familiarity with JavaScript CI tools such as Vitest, ESLing, Prettier, and Esbuild
