Job Description:

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Lead, Project Manager to join our Aerojet Rocketdyne segment in the Missile Solutions sector, based in Camden, AR. Candidate will oversee and manage internal and/or external operational aspects of ongoing projects within Production Operations. External aspects require leadership and broad expertise across a multitude of disciplines. Internal aspects may include leading a subset of the project's scope, or interface between project management and planning, project team, and line management. Influences the adoption of practices, approaches and concepts across multiple disciplines. Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports. Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. Develops and implements mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with Operations Leadership and peers within various organizations.

Essential Functions:
  • Accountable for the cost, schedule and technical performance of production operations supporting programs.
  • Plan the execution of the projects and its activities in accordance with contractual requirements and company processes, policies, and systems.
  • Effectively communicate with customers and other stakeholders. Establish open communication to ensure effective and efficient project execution.
  • Prepare reports/briefings on the projects for Management. Ensure that the project supports schedule and budget objectives and that any issues are surfaced in a timely manner. Identify and manage risks and opportunities associated with operations management. Monitor the Production Operations KPI and conduct periodic evaluations to identify opportunities for improvement.


Qualifications:

  • Requires comprehensive level knowledge of job area. May have in-depth knowledge of project management. Bachelor's Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.


Preferred Additional Skills:

  • A strong background in financial management, and integrated master planning/scheduling.
  • Experience with operational execution and/or manufacturing processes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to present at all levels within the company as well as with external customers.
  • Ability to develop consensus and drive the organization to achieve program goals.
  • Demonstrated highly effective organization, team orientation and leadership skills.
