Overview
We are seeking a Database Engineer to design and support analytics strategies and data pipelines for Defense Analytics Manpower systems. This role focuses on developing and maintaining ETL pipelines, building data products, and creating Qlik/Tableau dashboards that support analytics and reporting needs. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with data engineering, ETL development, and dashboard creation, with the ability to develop reliable data pipelines and transform complex data into actionable insights.

Security Clearance: Must be a U.S. Citizen and possess a DoD Secret clearance.
Minimum Qualifications
3–10 years of directly related experience
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (B.A./B.S. or M.A./M.S.)
Minimum 3 years of experience as a Data Engineer
Demonstrated experience with relational databases, including creation of staging, fact, and dimension tables
Hands-on experience with ETL development
Key Responsibilities & Technical Skills
Design, develop, and maintain ETL pipelines supporting analytics and reporting.
Build and test reliable data pipelines for data ingestion and transformation.
Troubleshoot and resolve pipeline and ETL issues to ensure system reliability.
Establish and maintain standards for pipeline operations, queries, programming, and security.
Ensure data integrity and performance across databases and analytics pipelines.
Develop and maintain Qlik and Tableau dashboards and reports based on business requirements.
Refactor and optimize dashboard data ingestion and backend data sources.
Create and maintain documentation for data pipelines, dashboards, and processes.
Address automation refresh issues, production bugs, and dashboard performance improvements.
Utilize Databricks, Python, Spark, Scala, JavaScript/JSON, and PL-SQL to support data engineering and reporting solutions.
