Systems Engineer

Team TENAX is looking to add a Systems Engineer to join our team supporting a DoD customer at C5ISR campus on Aberdeen Proving Ground. Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and integrate complex systems and subsystems for the PD Aerostats program, ensuring that they meet program requirements and objectives.
• Conduct systems engineering trades studies, analyses, and simulations to optimize system performance, reliability, and maintainability, and to identify and mitigate technical risks.
• Develop and maintain system architectures, including functional and physical architectures, to support program requirements and objectives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, logistics, and testing, to ensure that system designs and developments meet program requirements and objectives.
• Conduct system testing and validation, including the development of test plans, test procedures, and test reports, to ensure that systems meet program requirements and objectives.
• Provide expert guidance and oversight to junior systems engineers, ensuring that they have the necessary skills, knowledge, and expertise to perform their jobs effectively.
• Develop and maintain system documentation, including system designs, interface control documents, and test plans, to support program requirements and objectives.
• Conduct risk assessments and mitigation planning to identify and address potential technical risks and issues.
• Develop and maintain relationships with external partners and stakeholders, including industry, academia, and government agencies, to stay informed about emerging trends and technologies, and to identify opportunities for collaboration and knowledge-sharing.
• Serve as a technical expert and advisor to program leadership on systems engineering matters, including providing expert guidance and support on technical issues and risks.
• Develop and deliver briefings, reports, and other presentations to senior leadership and other stakeholders on systems engineering matters, including providing expert testimony and advice on technical issues and risks.

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Ten (10) or more years as a systems Engineer & working knowledge of DoDi 5000 & Defense Acquisition
• BA/BS or higher.
• Shall have a top secret (TS) clearance with the ability to obtain sensitive compartmented information (SCI).
• An additional 10 years experience in a related field may be substituted for education.
• A Masters degree or higher may be substituted for 5 years of experience as long as their degree is in a related field.
