Northrop Grumman Mission System's Engineering and Sciences (E&S) Baltimore and Partnered Sites (BaPs) Division is seeking a Multidomain Sensing, Targeting and Survivability (MSTS) Land and Maritime Engineering Execution Lead to join our team of qualified and diverse individuals. This position will be located in Baltimore, MD and is a full-time on-site position.

What You'll Get to Do:

The individual will be the direct liaison to the Long-Range Air Defense and Detection Systems (LRADDS) Operating Unit Director within the LMS Business Unit. The position will lead a cross-functional team of Chief Engineers, Engineering Program Managers, System Architects, and SEIT Leads. It will own end-to-end program execution across the operating unit, while collaborating closely with both Engineering Discipline leadership and Program Management. Additionally, the incumbent will collaborate closely with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Mission Assurance to ensure that key program milestones are met on schedule. Reporting to the Engineering Execution Lead, this role will be accountable for technical performance, staffing, root-cause analysis, engineering metrics, process rigor, proposal support, C101 sign-off, and the development of CEACs for all programs within the operating unit.
  • Lead a cross-functional engineering team during proposal, design, manufacturing, and delivery phases of products in development and production phases
  • Support proposal development and new program acquisition efforts
  • Interpret statements of work assigned by program leadership
  • Develop and execute to project budgets and schedules, including Earned Value Management System (EVMS), critical path management, Estimates-at-Completion (EACs), and workload forecasts
  • Interface with functional departments to secure team staffing
  • Work with suppliers and be able to articulate project requirements
  • Brief internal and customer leadership on progress of work assigned
  • Experience as a Control Account Manager (CAM) managing Earned Value Management System (EVMS) projects
  • Perform in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, and collaborative/team settings.


This position is contingent upon the successful transfer of an active DoD Secret Clearance and the ability to obtain Special Program Access (SAP).

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree with 10 years of experience, a Master's degree with 8 years of experience, or a PhD with 6 years of experience in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics or other related technical fields.
  • A current/active DoD Secret Clearance.
  • Ability to obtain/maintain Special Program Access (SAP).
  • Experience as hardware Integrated Product Team (IPT) Lead, Technical lead, or other leadership role in a program office or business function with demonstrated team building, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Engineering leadership experience in a team environment.
  • Experience in the hardware Design, Manufacturing or Test process.
  • Experience with developing and executing project schedules.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Advanced degrees in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or related technical fields.
  • Active DoD Top Secret/SCI Clearance or higher.
  • Experience in hardware development of complex RF or Digital systems and sub-systems.
  • Experience with the TPS-78 family of systems or similar.
  • Experience with International Programs and Export Control.

Primary Level Salary Range: $167,500.00 - $276,500.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
