Northrop Grumman's Space Sector is seeking a Principal / Sr. Principal Energetics MFG Engineer - Level 3 or Level 4 to join our team in Magna, UT.
The Energetics MFG Engineer will work in an industrial environment and support solving complex engineering problems. Will effectively interact with design engineering team and provide support across Factory Value Streams, Materials and Process experts, Process engineering, and Tool Design.
This position will work a 9/80 schedule, with every other Friday off.

Primary Level Salary Range: $98,400.00 - $147,600.00
Secondary Level Salary Range: $122,800.00 - $184,200.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.

In this job, you will:
- Understand the design intent, failure modes, requirements, and specifications of the product as well as the manufacturing processes, process controls, statistics, SPC, and quality inspections.
- Provide expertise and guidance in interpreting governmental regulations, agency guidelines and internal policies/procedures to assure compliance and will serve as liaison between Bacchus Mission Assurance and various other organizations including some government agencies.
- Work directly with operating entities to ensure that inspections, statistical process control analyses, and audits are conducted on a continuing basis as specified to enforce requirements, meet specifications, and improve processing
- Other duties as assigned

- STEM Bachelor's degree with 5 years of relevant experience - OR - STEM Master's degree with 3 years of relevant experience - OR - STEM PhD with 1 year of relevant experience.
- Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance
- Experience with Dimensional Inspection Techniques and application of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (ANSI/AMSE Y14.5)
- Mechanical design and tooling experience.
- Computer Aided Design - ie NX, Solidworks, ProE, CAD, other's
Basic Qualifications for Level 4:
- STEM Bachelor's degree with 8 years of relevant experience - OR - STEM Master's degree with 6 years of relevant experience - OR - STEM PhD with 4 years of relevant experience.
- Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance
- Experience with Dimensional Inspection Techniques and application of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (ANSI/AMSE Y14.5)
