Jr. Service Now Developer

Position Overview

Zachary Piper is seeking a ServiceNow Developer to design, build, and maintain ServiceNow applications and integrations supporting homeland security missions. Work involves hands-on development across ITSM and related modules, automation, secure integrations, and Agile delivery aligned with DHS and FedRAMP standards.

Responsibilities

ServiceNow Development

• Develop and configure ITSM, ITOM, HR, GRC, and related modules.
• Enhance and maintain custom applications.
• Build workflows, dashboards, catalog items, and data structures.
• Develop JavaScript using Glide API (Business Rules, Script Includes, Client Scripts, Scheduled Jobs).
• Create access controls, data tables, database views, and GlideRecord queries.

Integrations & Automation

• Implement REST/SOAP integrations, MID Server, IntegrationHub, and scripted transforms.
• Automate workflows using Flow Designer and platform APIs.

Quality & Delivery

• Participate in Agile grooming, estimation, and sprint execution.
• Conduct unit testing, code reviews, and manage update sets.
• Support basic CI/CD (Git branching, peer review, promotion workflows).
• Troubleshoot incidents, defects, and performance issues.

Security & Compliance

• Follow secure coding practices.
• Support FedRAMP, FISMA, and Section 508 compliance.
• Maintain platform standards, naming conventions, documentation, and SOPs.

Stakeholder Collaboration

• Translate user stories into technical solutions.
• Demonstrate features during sprint reviews.
• Collaborate with analysts, PMs, and architects for requirements traceability.
• Support creation and management of Jira epics and user stories.

Qualifications

• Active Top Secret or active DHS clearance.
• Bachelor's degree OR 3+ years relevant experience.
• 3+ years of ServiceNow development experience.
• ServiceNow CAD certification.
• Strong JavaScript and Glide API skills.
• Experience designing and configuring ServiceNow modules and workflows.
• Experience in Agile delivery environments.
• Strong communication skills with technical teams and government stakeholders.

Nice to Have

• Experience with DHS or CBP programs.
• Knowledge of TRM, enterprise governance, AI/automation initiatives.
• Familiarity with Section 508, FISMA, and FedRAMP.

Compensation

• Salary: $95,000
