Position Description:
PingWind is seeking a Transmission Engineer Lead to lead the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of transmission systems that support the delivery of electrical power or telecommunications services. This role provides technical leadership for engineering teams, ensures reliability and efficiency of transmission infrastructure, and supports strategic initiatives related to system expansion, modernization, and operational performance.
Primary Responsibilities:
Typical Responsibilities/Tasks:
• Deliver engineering studies (generic technical report) on proposed, projected, and future transmission systems/networks that may, will, or are going to be deployed within the CENTCOM AOR.
• Delivering engineering studies with recommendations for improvements and optimizations to the DoD and Army managed transmission systems/networks within the CENTCOM AOR in respect to, but not limited to, Integrated Operations Management Plan (IOMP)
• Prepare, conduct, and report on-site surveys at locations within the CENTCOM AOR to investigate deployment of transmission systems/networks, resolve transmission systems/networks problems, and to conduct transmission systems/networks verification and validation
• Work in conjunction with the Government and other stakeholders to implement transmission programs and projects within the CENTCOM AOR.
• Provide engineering assistance with timing and synchronization of DoD and Army managed transmission systems/networks, and provide engineering, design, and implementation expertise with respect to ground to satellite transmission systems/networks.
• Provide assistance with trouble-shooting radio frequency (RF) baseband transmission systems and path profiling and surveys.
