About the Role:

This role offers an opportunity for a highly organized, detail-oriented self-starter to join the Operations Team of a rapidly growing small business government contractor. We are seeking a candidate who has demonstrated strong organizational, research, and written communication skills through academic work, internships, military service, prior employment, or other professional experiences.

This position is ideal for a recent graduate or career changer with a broad interest in corporate operations, compliance, and structured problem-solving. The Operations Associate will contribute to key governance and operational initiatives that support audit readiness, process discipline, and the company's continued growth.

Location: Hybrid (3-4 days onsite per week) - Arlington, VA
  • Candidates must be located in the Washington, DC Metro Area and able to commute to our Arlington, VA office.

Clearance Requirements: Applicants selected may be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for potential access to classified information. US Citizenship or Green Card is required.

Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and organize corporate documentation repositories, ensuring structured file management, access control alignment, and version control
  • Support cybersecurity and compliance initiatives (CMMC, CMMI, ISO 27001) through evidence tracking, documentation updates, and audit preparation
  • Assist with maintaining security-related documentation, including policies, system security documentation, and control implementation artifacts
  • Support technology management activities such as software license tracking, asset inventories, vendor documentation, and IT governance records
  • Coordinate with internal and external IT partners to gather documentation supporting security controls and system configurations
  • Provide documentation and data-call support for proposal and teaming efforts
  • Assist with operational trackers, including risk registers, corrective actions, training compliance, and performance metrics
  • Help maintain and improve SharePoint sites, forms, and workflow documentation in collaboration with internal stakeholders
  • Conduct research and compile summaries on regulatory, cybersecurity, contractual, or operational topics as needed
  • Support general corporate operations initiatives and special projects as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or 4+ years of relevant professional experience required. Degree in Technology, Cybersecurity, or Business strongly preferred
  • Strong working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite and SharePoint
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple structured tasks with strong attention to detail and organizational discipline
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce clear, professional documentation
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while maintaining accuracy and follow-through
