Global - a 1st Flagship Company is currently seeking a Clerk Typist - Accounting to join our Pearl Harbor team.
What You'll Be Doing
- Providing clerical and administrative support to the Accounting Technician and Budget Analyst to assist with site-level accounting operations.
- Assisting with data entry into accounting, payroll, and timekeeping systems while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
- Supporting timecard preparation and payroll documentation to ensure timely and accurate payroll processing.
- Maintaining and organizing financial records, vouchers, and accounting files in both electronic and paper filing systems.
- Assisting Accounts Payable processes including purchase orders, invoices, and receiving documentation.
- Tracking employee leave forms, overtime approvals, and payroll-related documentation.
- Assisting with preparation of basic financial reports, spreadsheets, and accounting documentation.
- Providing general office support including copying, scanning, document routing, and record maintenance.
- Maintaining strict confidentiality of payroll, employee, and financial information.
- Responding to basic internal inquiries regarding timekeeping and documentation requirements while escalating more complex issues to accounting staff.
- Working effectively with co-workers and supporting a professional and collaborative office environment.
Minimum
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- At least one (1) year of office, clerical, or accounting-related experience preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and ability to learn accounting and timekeeping systems.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to handle confidential financial and payroll information with discretion.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced office environment.
- Two (2) years of experience in secretarial, administrative, or accounting support roles.
- Familiarity with accounting procedures, payroll processes, or government contracting environments.
- Experience working with financial documentation, purchase orders, or vouchers.
- Position requires a Confidential Security Clearance.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen in accordance with contract requirements.
