Senior ServiceNow Developer
Location: Remote (must reside in the Washington, DC metro area)
Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior ServiceNow Developer to design, build, and support scalable, secure, and upgrade-safe ServiceNow solutions across multiple enterprise modules. This role focuses on hands-on development, automation, integrations, and platform optimization while partnering with technical and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality ServiceNow capabilities.
Core Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain ServiceNow solutions across enterprise modules
Build and maintain:
Business Rules
Client Scripts
Flow Designer workflows
Service Catalog items
CMDB models
Service Portal and Mobile Agent experiences
Implement and support REST and SOAP integrations
Support platform releases, testing cycles, and version upgrades
Ensure solutions follow ServiceNow best practices for performance, security, and maintainability
Enforce platform governance, quality standards, and upgrade-safe development
Provide technical leadership through code reviews, documentation, and mentoring
Core Technology & Experience Requirements
7+ years of overall software development experience
4+ years of hands-on ServiceNow development
3+ years of experience with ITSM and/or CSM
Strong JavaScript development skills within the ServiceNow platform
Experience with ServiceNow modules including:
ITSM
ITOM
ITAM
SPM
HRSD
FSM
CMDB
Service Portal
Mobile Agent
Experience with ServiceNow integrations (REST/SOAP)
Working knowledge of ITIL and Agile/Scrum methodologies
Experience supporting production environments, troubleshooting, and resolving platform issues
Certifications (Preferred)
ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA)
ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD)
Clearance Requirement
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance / Secret Clearance
