Aircraft Worker – Flight Line Maintenance Support
Location: Naval Air Station Lemoore – Lemoore, CA
Program: U.S. Navy CNAP Contractor Field Team (CFT) Program – VFA-125
Clearance: Must be able to obtain/maintain a Secret clearance
Citizenship: U.S. Citizen required
Position Overview
We are seeking Aircraft Workers to support organizational-level (O-Level) flight line maintenance operations for F-35 aircraft at Naval Air Station Lemoore.
This role supports the Commander Naval Air Forces Pacific (CNAP) under the Contractor Field Team (CFT) Program, augmenting Navy maintenance personnel to ensure aircraft remain safe, mission-ready, and capable of meeting daily flight schedules.
Aircraft Workers assist higher-level mechanics with maintenance, troubleshooting, inspections, and aircraft servicing activities in accordance with applicable Naval Aviation Maintenance Program (NAMP) procedures and technical publications.
This position is contingent upon contract award.
Key Responsibilities
Assist mechanics in performing scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance
Support flight line maintenance operations
Assist in troubleshooting aircraft systems including:
Landing gear
Flight control surfaces
Hydraulic and pneumatic systems
Engines and auxiliary power units
Remove, clean, reinstall, or replace aircraft components such as:
Gaskets and fittings
Fuel and oil lines
Actuators and accumulators
Gauges and mechanical components
Assist with aircraft inspections and servicing
Perform pre-flight, thru-flight, and post-flight inspections
Support aircraft jacking and towing operations
Make adjustments such as cable tension and component settings
Maintain aircraft maintenance records and documentation
Service aircraft engines and components to maintain safe operating condition
Obtain replacement parts using technical manuals and parts documentation
Required Qualifications
Experience supporting aircraft maintenance operations
Basic knowledge of aircraft mechanical systems
Experience using hand tools and maintenance equipment
Ability to follow technical manuals and maintenance instructions
Ability to work in operational flight line environments
Ability to support aircraft servicing and component replacement tasks
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting military aviation maintenance operations
Familiarity with Naval Aviation Maintenance Program (NAMP) procedures
Experience supporting fighter aircraft platforms (F-35, F-18, etc.)
Prior military aviation maintenance experience
Experience working in flight line operations
Work Environment
Work performed on active military flight lines
Exposure to loud aircraft noise, equipment operations, and outdoor conditions
Schedule may include shift work, weekends, or schedule adjustments based on flight operations
