As an Armed Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will help manage entry points by checking identification, controlling visitor and vehicle access, and maintaining accurate logs. You will remain highly visible, respond to incidents, and communicate clearly with staff and the public while supporting security-related policies and procedures. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors and staff by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
• Control access at designated entry points by verifying identification, issuing and collecting visitor credentials, directing foot and vehicle traffic, and maintaining access logs per site requirements.
• Monitor cameras, alarms, and other security-related systems, and report unusual activity, hazards, and/or policy violations through the appropriate channels.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with site personnel and/or public responders as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, entrances, and the perimeter, including checking doors, gates, and restricted areas; working environments and conditions may vary by site.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess 3+ years' combined law enforcement/military/security experience or a college degree.
• Maintain an active DoD Confidential clearance.
• Possess 1+ years' law enforcement experience or 2+ years' security supervisor/manager experience or 3+ years' security experience.
• Possess an armed guard card/license.
• Possess a college degree.
• Provide proof of a high school diploma/GED as required by the client.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
