PDS Defense, Inc. is seeking an HR Specialist I to join our team in Pittsburgh, PA. This entry-level role is an excellent opportunity to grow within the HR Technology space, with a primary focus on supporting Talent Acquisition systems and processes. You will report to the Senior Manager, HR Systems, and gain hands-on experience across multiple HR Technology workstreams.

Schedule:
- Shift: Flexible, as long as contractor works during core business hours (9am-3pm)
- Examples: 7:30am-4:30pm, 8am-5pm, or 9am-6pm
- Hybrid Work:
- Onsite: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday
- Remote: Tuesday, Friday
PDS Defense, Inc. is seeking an HR Specialist I to join our team in Pittsburgh, PA. This entry-level role is an excellent opportunity to grow within the HR Technology space, with a primary focus on supporting Talent Acquisition systems and processes. You will report to the Senior Manager, HR Systems, and gain hands-on experience across multiple HR Technology workstreams.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide support for HR Talent Acquisition systems, including system maintenance, process setup, troubleshooting, testing, and implementing enhancements.
- Deliver global application support for Talent Acquisition processes using a ticketing platform.
- Collaborate with Talent Acquisition COE and global HR partners to validate system requirements and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Assist with special projects and initiatives aimed at improving existing processes.
- Participate in the governance structure for Global People Systems, including compliance testing.
- Support system patching and upgrade cycles.
- Maintain global compliance, data privacy, security standards, and reporting solutions for Talent Acquisition systems.
- Analyze system functionalities and partner with IT, Oracle, and external vendors to identify and address improvement opportunities.
- Review and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) using Oracle's guided learning module.
Essential Knowledge & Skills
- Understanding of Talent Acquisition processes and willingness to learn HR Technology.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of process improvement, quality management, and systems/process control.
- Ability to work within a complex matrix organization.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
Basic Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of HR experience.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Employment eligibility verification required at time of hire.
- Visa sponsorship is not available.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with HR reporting tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Information Technology, or Management Information Systems from an accredited institution.
