PRISM Inc. is seeking an Elastic Engineer to join a Data Analytics team focused on enhancing and sustaining an ELK (Elastic, Logstash, Kibana) environment. This role emphasizes data onboarding, platform configuration, and advanced visualization development. This position is based in Dulles, VA, with a hybrid schedule.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Platform Engineering: Design, install, and maintain the ELK stack, including cluster monitoring and API integration.
Data Pipelines: Build and optimize ingest pipelines for external datasets using Logstash and Beats.
Content Development: Create Kibana dashboards, reports, and complex search queries using Elasticsearch DSL.
Integration & Automation: Develop custom plugins (AuthN/AuthZ) and automation scripts using Python, Groovy, or Bash.
Cloud Infrastructure: Administer Elastic Cloud on Kubernetes (ECK) and manage service integrations.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION/SKILLS):
Bachelor's degree + 6+ years of software development experience.
Kubernetes: 5+ years of experience with Kubernetes architecture
Elastic Mastery: * 2+ years as an ECK Administrator.
2+ years of hands-on experience with Elasticsearch DSL.
Scripting: Proficient in Python, Bash, or JavaScript.
REQUIRED SECURITY CLEARANCE:
Must have an Active DOD Secret clearance with eligibility to obtain a TS/SCI clearance
In addition, must be able to obtain suitability clearance
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Certifications: Elastic Certified Engineer, CKA/CKAD (Kubernetes), or CISSP (IAT Level II).
Methodology: Agile/Scrum experience and certification.
Environment: Experience supporting federal customers.
