At GCI, we solve the hard problems. As a Cyber Technical Analyst, a typical day will include the following duties:

Description

GCI is looking for a highly motivated and experienced expert Cyber Technical Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate is responsible for the below:
  1. The resource will conduct assessments and integrate new collections to enhance comprehension of risks to both current and potential future operations, as well as operational infrastructure. This process will entail the identification and utilization of novel tools and methodologies to optimize the analysis of all available data, thereby expanding and bolstering cyber operations.
  2. The resource will directly support computer network exploitation operations against complex targes by reviewing daily operation notes and collaborating with operators. This will capture historical, ongoing, and planned activities, providing critical insights for operational management decision-makers.
  3. The resource will oversee initiatives and track relevant collection metrics ensuring effective monitoring and management.
  4. The resource will be responsible for managing and utilizing collections and tools this will include processing and analyzing various data types.
  5. The resource shall use a mix of new target development and existing target development.
  6. The resource shall take full ownership of assigned projects and demonstrate proactive initiative to expand and shape proposals.
  7. The resource shall drive requirements and be responsible for ongoing management of efforts in coordination with the mission partner.
  8. The resource will identify and extract pertinent information and conduct research to inform the development of innovative techniques for handling information.
  9. The resource shall leverage available resources to support network access and exploitation efforts, optimizing the use of relevant tools and information.
  10. The resource shall assist the customer collection mechanisms through collaboration.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Demonstrated experience to be self-sufficient and able to work in a fast-paces, ambiguous environment.
  • Demonstrated experience to exercise operational judgement.
  • Demonstrated experience to assimilate and evaluate large amount of data from areas such as, source traces, technical operations, SIGNINT, HUMINT, IMINT.
  • Demonstrated experience with strong writing and briefing skills within authoring cables and presenting technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Demonstrate experience using a range of technical operation tools and databases, including those used form intelligence gathering, targeting, collection, and analysis. The ideal candidate should be able to effectively leverage these tools to identify leads, analyze data, and support technical operations.
  • Demonstrated experience with some knowledge of network and operations.
  • Demonstrated experience taking initiative and ability to conduct technical targeting on a mix of new targets in development, as well as continue to expand on existing target development.

Desired Skills:
  • Demonstrated experience in linguist expertise in Russian.
  • Demonstrated experience conducting online research in a manner that maintains operational security and anonymity.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting cyber operations analysis and technical data collection efforts.
  • Demonstrated experience with cable writing.
  • Demonstrated experience with internet applications and protocols.

Education Requirement
  • BA/BS (or equivalent experience)
