As a Configuration Control Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining engineering documentation and change notifications within the Aerospace and Defense industry. Your role involves ensuring that all engineering drawings and documents are kept up to date and accurately reflect any modifications or updates. You will work closely with engineering, manufacturing, and production teams to facilitate the seamless integration of changes into aircraft systems.
The Mission Solutions and Technologies (MST) business area provides affordable, turn-key command/control, communications, integrated ISR, force protection and security solutions worldwide. Estimated Starting Salary Range: $19.95 - $27.44. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors, such as candidates' key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.

- Review, approve, and release change notifications to planning and engineering departments.
- Track and maintain engineering drawings and documents within the database, ensuring accuracy and version control.
- Collaborate with engineers to ensure that drawing changes are effectively communicated and implemented.
- Facilitate the integration of changes into manufacturing and production processes.
- Conduct regular audits of engineering documentation to ensure compliance with industry standards and company policies.
- Provide training and support to team members on configuration management processes and tools.
- Assist in the development and improvement of configuration management policies and procedures.
- Generate and analyze reports related to configuration control activities and provide insights for process improvements.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Associate degree in Business Administration, Information Management, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in document control, records management, or a related field.
- Relevant experience can be considered as a substitute for the required educational qualifications. In the absence of a degree, a minimum of 3 years of related experience is required.
- Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience.
- Proficiency in using configuration management software and tools.
- Strong understanding of engineering documentation and change management processes.
- Basic Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Excel skills.
- Ability to accurately review documentation and apply standards in accordance with process and procedure.
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Certification in Configuration Management [e.g., Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI), Configuration Management Process Improvement Center (CMPIC)].
- Knowledge of industry standards such as AS9100 or ISO 9001.
- Prior experience working with aircraft systems and integration.
- Experience reading engineering drawings.
- Understanding of Configuration Management procedures and process.
- Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, Government, or US Military.
Essential Functions:
- Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods.
- Hand/finger dexterity for operating computer equipment.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs occasionally.
- Capability to work in an office or hybrid environment.
- Occasional travel may be required.
