Are you a results-driven, team-oriented, supply chain leader? This is the opportunity for you! The Planning Supervisor will assist in driving the strategy and managing the day-to-day operations of the material planning team. This role ensures that production schedules and material requirements are met, providing support and leadership to material planners to maintain the flow of raw materials and finished goods.

The Mission Solutions and Technologies (MST) business area provides affordable, turn-key command/control, communications, integrated ISR, force protection and security solutions worldwide. The MST team has a long legacy of supporting the Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security, commercial and international customers with years of experience in platform operations, engineering and full lifecycle management across domains - air, land, sea, space and cyber.

Responsibilities:
  • Supervise the material planning team to ensure timely and accurate material requisition and scheduling.
  • Assist in the review and approval of quantities, schedules, and parts lists.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to align material requirements with production needs.
  • Monitor inventory levels and address potential shortages.
  • Maintain process documentation and support training efforts for the material planning team.
  • Identify and escalate material and scheduling issues to prevent production disruptions.
  • Support the development of raw material and scheduling requirements based on production schedules.
  • Utilize Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP)/Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems to manage inventory, procurement, and production planning activities.
  • Assist in analyzing key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop, maintain, and communicate the Master Production Schedule (MPS) based on customer orders, sales forecasts, inventory levels, and production capacities.
  • Collaborate with operations, supply chain, procurement, and engineering to ensure schedule feasibility and resolve conflicts or constraints.
  • Continuously review and adjust schedules to maximize efficiency, minimize downtime, identify risk, and address bottlenecks or disruptions.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as on-time delivery, schedule adherence, and inventory levels; prepare and present regular reports to management
  • Manage schedule changes due to engineering modifications, rush orders, or unforeseen circumstances, communicating impacts to all stakeholders.


Qualifications You Must Have:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field of study.
  • 5+ years of experience in operations or in a related field.
  • Relevant experience can be considered as a substitute for the required educational qualifications. In the absence of a degree, a minimum of 9 years of related experience is required.
  • Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience.
  • Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems.
  • Familiarity with the practical application of manufacturing, engineering planning, and/or inventory management.
  • Exposure to materials management systems.
  • Basic understanding of MRP I & II principles.


Qualifications We Prefer:
  • Previous supervisory experience; the ability to recruit employees; assign, direct, and evaluate their work; and oversee the development and maintenance of staff competence.
  • APICS Certified Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) or Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) Certification.
  • Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense or US Military.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.


Essential Functions:
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs regularly.
  • Ability to work on a computer for extended periods.
  • Requires standing and walking for a significant portion of the work shift.
  • Ability to work in a noisy manufacturing environment.
  • Occasional travel may be required.
  • Must be able to work in an office or hybrid environment.

SNC offers annual incentive pay based upon performance that is commensurate with the level of the position.
