Job Description
Northrop Grumman Mission Systems Tactical Fighters Business Unit (BU) specializes in the development, manufacture, assembly, testing, and sustainment of key F-35 sensors and systems. We are seeking a Director to join our team of qualified and diverse individuals. This position will be located in Baltimore, MD.
**This is an onsite role. No telework or hybrid option is available**
The Senior Director is responsible for developing and executing all growth initiatives across the BU and will also run the Sustainment Operating Unit. In owning the growth strategy for the BU, this role will lead a team in strategizing, shaping, and executing long-term contracting initiatives for all programs across the portfolio. In addition, this position has P&L responsibility for sustainment of the APG-81 radar, sustainment of the Electro Optical Distributed Aperture System (EODAS), as well as establishing initial sustainment vehicles for the advanced programs within the portfolio. This position reports to the VP, Tactical Fighters Business Unit.

Primary Level Salary Range: $254,200.00 - $381,200.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.

Responsibilities include:
- Strategically develops, shapes, and secures long-term contracts that deliver growth across the portfolio
- Partners strategically internally and externally with key stakeholders to achieve favorable outcomes via emerging long-term/multi-year contracting opportunities
- Leads and directs cross-functional teams to meet program cost, schedule and technical performance objectives in a matrix organizational environment
- Establishes milestones and monitors adherence to master plans and schedules, risk/opportunity management, identifies program problems and obtains solutions
- Identifies, allocates, and manages program resources, including workforce planning
- Creates a positive employee experience for the employees by focusing on retention initiatives and supporting professional development
- Delivers presentations to customers, executive management and other program stakeholders
- Cultivates customer intimacy to foster mutually-beneficial relationships and business opportunities
- Participates in the negotiation of contracts, contract changes, specifications, operating budgets, schedule milestones, and key terms and conditions.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor degree with 12 or more years of program management or related experience OR Master degree with 10 or more years of program management or related experience
- Demonstrated ability to shape and capture complex long-term contracts
- Demonstrated knowledge of strategic planning and new business development
- Expertise in program execution to lead the performance of tasks on schedule and at cost
- Proven success in leading and influencing individuals and teams in a matrix environment
- Demonstrated ability to foster existing customer relationships and develop new customer relationships
- Strong communication and executive presence skills to effectively interact with customer and senior leadership
- Must be a US citizen with a minimum of an active DoW Secret Clearance or DoE equivalent and ability to obtain special access clearances required
- Exceptional communication, collaboration and executive presence skills
- Experience with multiple contract types
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proven experience in shaping and capturing complex long-term contracts
- 8+ years in leading programs or technical teams (engineering management, functional management)
- Master's degree in engineering and/or business administration
- Demonstrated knowledge of radar and EO/IR systems
