Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking an Infrastructure Architect to support the deployment, configuration, and sustainment of enterprise-level Siemens Teamcenter PLM environments for a leading organization in the engineering and manufacturing industry. The Infrastructure Architect role is ideal for a highly experienced PLM/IT infrastructure professional capable of independently standing up and maintaining complex, mission-critical environments. This position will be primarily r emote with monthly travel to St. Louis, MO (Per Diem, Full Expenses Paid)!
Responsibilities of the Infrastructure Architect:
• Deploy, configure, and sustain Siemens Teamcenter solutions within enterprise environments, ensuring system reliability, security, and high availability.
• Stand up new PLM environments independently with minimal oversight, including full lifecycle environment management (dev/test/prod).
• Serve as the primary point of contact for Siemens PLM users, providing Tier 1/Tier 2 support for Teamcenter, NX, Opcenter, Capital, and other Siemens Xcelerator tools.
• Perform initial triage, troubleshooting, and root-cause categorization for incoming help desk tickets related to user issues, environment instability, configuration problems, or software defects.
• Manage and monitor support channels, including help desk phone line and email queue, ensuring timely responses and full ticket ownership through resolution.
• Review and analyze system and application logs to identify environment-level issues, performance concerns, and architectural gaps within secure or classified environments.
• Coordinate cross-team escalations with Siemens SMEs, end users, and enterprise infrastructure groups.
• Contribute to server builds, environment configuration, enterprise application deployment, and production sustainment operations.
• Maintain thorough documentation and ensure system support artifacts remain accurate, updated, and accessible.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives for PLM support processes, environment stability, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Remote work with Occasional Travel
Qualifications of the Infrastructure Architect:
• 5+ years of experience deploying, administering, and supporting enterprise PLM systems, with strong hands-on expertise in Siemens Teamcenter.
• Strong background in enterprise IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, system architecture, and multi-tiered application environments.
• Demonstrated ability to independently build and sustain complex PLM environments across multiple tiers.
• Deep experience with enterprise application deployment, server builds, configuration management, and production sustainment.
• Tier 1/Tier 2 support experience for Siemens PLM tools; exposure to NX, Opcenter, Capital, or Siemens Xcelerator tools is highly preferred.
• Experience working with ticketing systems, performing incident triage, and driving issues through full lifecycle resolution.
• Experience with enterprise PLM, ERP, and/or MES implementations
• Active OR Inactive Secret Clearance
Compensation for the Infrastructure Architect includes:
• Salary range: $155,000 - $175,000
