Systems Engineer

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Systems Engineer to support a company focused on delivering advanced aerospace and defense engineering solutions. This position is on-site in St Louis, MO. The Systems Engineer will lead cross-functional engineering teams, drive key systems engineering activities, and support digital engineering initiatives. This role directly contributes to mission-critical defense programs and engineering excellence.

Responsibilities for the Systems Engineer include:

• Leading cross-functional engineering teams to meet project and program commitments, including support for deliveries and customer reviews
• Implementing, maintaining, and refining systems engineering methodologies across the program
• Supporting digital engineering initiatives, including MBSE implementation, to meet customer expectations
• Executing systems engineering activities such as requirements decomposition, system architecture, trade studies, interface management, certification planning, risk management, and verification/test planning, capturing artifacts in the MBSE model
• Applying interdisciplinary and collaborative approaches to design, develop, and verify complex system solutions

Required Qualifications for the Systems Engineer include:

• 5+ years of systems engineering experience
• Experience with DOORS, MSOSA/Cameo (SysML), Jira, and Confluence
• Experience supporting software requirements and verification
• Bachelor of Science degree n)
• Experience supporting tactical/defense aircraft programs
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance

Compensation for the Systems Engineer includes:

• Salary Range: $90,000 - $115,000 depending on experience
